Anyone who says otherwise is huffing copium. You simply don't understand how OLED vs MiniLEDs work if you think it doesn't matter. The only debate I will entertain is WOLED vs QDOLED, because there is a genuine tradeoff between brightness and color saturation.

enjoy your burn in

It's 2025 gramps, that's not an issue you need to worry about unless you're trying to use it as an airport TV showing CNN 24/7

My phone have oled screen and its awful
My work laptop (macbook) didnt have oled and its good

No, stop making this thread you cringe faggot retard.

I made it again because I had to do irl shit so I couldn't reply to the complainers before the thread archived.

It's a concern if you're using it on a PC for browsing, I don't know, a certain imageboard on the regular, or doing literally anything else other than gaming or watching videos

I like OLED displays but I'm hardly going to be getting an OLED monitor, and in fact I prefer my MiniLED monitor to my OLED TV because it's bright as fuck
>>
Oh boy it's another oled thread about how great oled is superior. thanks for taking the time to tell me about how great oled is

>motion blur
>vrr flicker
>abl can't be disabled
>blue LED's die quicker than red and green ones
>absurd price
>BFI panels cost twice as much and still don't get rid of motion blur
>lifespan is incredibly short
>"muh blacks" Plasma did that 30 years ago and you idiots all chose LCD instead.

OLED is stopgap tech. The sooner it's replaced the better off we'll all be.

Plasmas are great. We still have our 60" in the living room.

>>729633069
It is, but until a replacement is invented it's what we have

I got the MSI 321UPX in 2024 and I had to lower the brightness to 40. I don't know who these blind niggas are that complain about brightness and burn in, but OLED is way better.

>Perfect motion clarity (so perfect that it breaks the illusion of 24fps and causes judder.)
>High end LG and Samsung panels don't flicker
>Quantum Dot tech only needs a blue light source (OLED can last longer with better uniformity because it uses one color)
>Get your money up?
>Plasma blacks turned grey with any amount of light. OLED is literally turning off at a per pixel level.

tldr; Save $650 for a 27" WOLED at minimum before you bitch about quality.

>You simply don't understand how OLED vs MiniLEDs work if you think it doesn't matter
I love being rich enough to have both. And honestly? It's a wash.
The REAL display redpill is getting a screen with a glossy finish. Matte is fucking garbage, and even the best OLED with the purest blacks looks like shit next to a garbage IPS with horrendous backlight bleed, but the clarity of a glossy finish.
Luckily, you can just buy a high-quality glossy screen protector and put it over the matte factory finish to achieve FAR superior image quality without having to buy a brand new monitor. In fact, that's what I did with my $1200 drawing tablet after its factory protector began to wear out from using it too much. The glossy protector makes the 1080p tablet look 4k.

Can you prove burn in is real without intentionally burning a monitor for 10000 hours? If not shut your bitch mouth and never open it again.

It’s been 5 years and i’m still wait for it

iphone oled screens are terrible. I’m pretty sure my old galaxy S3 had a better amoled screen than my iphone. I think modern samsung phones are more or less the same, too.

they just announced they're gonna make new CRTs so i think we should all use those from now on

Burn in is a meme. Mura is the real Achilles heel.

I’ve never seen a PS Vita 1000 with any traces of burn in but there isn’t a single Vita with normal blacks. It’s all grainy green static with black splotches.

Yeah there are workarounds but still. I have no idea why this isn’t brought up more when discussing OLED technology.
>>
My patience has finally paid off. I refused to get OLED for my PC because of the god awful subpixel arrangement. Doesn't matter which kind you got, they all suck. Until now. They're finally going to release a 4k RGB stripe OLED monitor and it's going to be the best monitor on the market by a wide margin. The only drawbacks it will have is brightness and burn out but all OLED have those two problems and neither is ever going away so this will be the time to jump. No more shitty font rendering or awful colors. It's going to be glorious.
>>
>>729631658
They look and feel better but the burn in isn't worth it no matter the price. It just feels gay knowing that you have to limit using your hardware to preserve it longer, it's like buying a game with Denuvo. I felt less bad splurging for a 5090 than I do when buying DRM-locked games or when I bought one of those oled panels last year to see if it was worth the hype.
>>
>>729634393
Ok, buy me an OLED then, and if in 7 years of typical use equivalent to how I normally use my computer, I don't see any burn-in whatsoever, I'll pay you back double.
>>
>>729636939
I'm getting there, been using my LG C1 55" for 4+ years exclusively with my PC and no sign of burn in yet. I usually get new displays every 5-10 years but there's been no significant improvements from mine yet.

Really it's just cope you will never go back to backlit IPS/VA/TN crap after you're used to OLED. $1000 for a decade of perfect picture quality and great HDR? Well worth it to me.
>>
>>729631702
enjoy your backlight bleed, ips glow, va blur, bad contrast, slow response times and nonexistent hdr.
>>
>>729637497
>nonexistent HDR
???

clean it up, jannies
>>
>>729634393
My iPhone has some burn in, but it's so hardly noticeable that I almost think that it's faded away on its own
>>
just two more letters in front of LED and panel companies will solve everything
>>
>>729634393
burn-in is visible within a couple months
