Hello /v/I'm a PC only gamer have been working my way through original hardware and media and an arcade cabinet and some old TVs that they work with along with a bunch of computers after inheiriting a collection from my uncle and I have been having a LOT of fun playing the consoles and games for the last year with friends, enjoyed everything from space invaders on the 2600, through the nes,genesis n64, ps1, ps2, xbox, 360, psps ds and gameboy even had fun with wierd old stuff like the commodore 64, spectrum and amiga (there is some stuff I can't make work though like a colecovision, I think it is broken)and really enjoyed an arcade cabinet emulator but had to get a stool to sit on before it was fun brilliant game called double dragon.This Christmas I opened up the Wii. I liked the lightgun and 'wheeel' driving games on the PS1 and 2 and 360 and the old operation wolf 'zapper' game so was excited to try it when I saw the gun attachment in one of the boxes. Played links crossbow training (shit) house of the dead (shit) and Mario cart with the wheel (meh) and wii sports.I mean what the fuck was this thing? The controls are fucking awful, it came out years after the PS1 and it looks worse and it's laggy and crap and you have to glue that stupid fucking thing to your TV.How the fuck did this piece of utter crap sell so much? Why was there no outrage over it, as far as I can tell it was really popular.Is this wii thing when gaming died? Is this the point at which manufacturers just went IDGAF whey will buy any rubbish?It's really hard to understand why anyone would want this wii piece of shit when they could have been playing something like skyrim on the 360 or even pacman on a commodore 64 or wipeout on a playstationHow come people did not return them a few days after getting them. There is a box with a 'balance board' I have not plugged in but it's just for crappy fitness stuff.

I found the nintendo DS emulation on Wii to be lacking in frames per second. I would have also liked multiple emulators open at one time. I wanted to play GBA Final Fantasy I&II Dawn of Souls in kanji, katakana/hiragana, and english, but alas...that seems to be a personal computer blessing.
