Borderlands 1 came out in 2009, meaning 2 years after halo 3 which is the pinnacle of casual console fps.Borderlands is a clunky, janky piece of shit where nothing feels good, shooting moving nothing. Especially driving, feels like absolute garbage. Also you're never gonna hit more invisible walls and shit ass geometry than bordermemes.It really is astonishing that only Bungie managed to make a console shooter where everything feels good and smooth and nobody was able to directly copy from them.

Mobbing is really fun. Bosses can be a buildcheck for sure. If your build ain't right, you gonna be stuck for awhile. That fucking spaceship in TPS comes to mind. The guns can surprise you with the funky shit they can do. I got a needle gun and it was like shooting a laser across every foot of the battlefield, like a scalpel. The next needle gun you get might be shit. It might put the one you were using to shame. I like that randomness because Ik how to capitalize on it. You level up rather easily and getting a new perk from your skill tree can be a game changer. I think all the borderlands games are good for what they do and each one has it's own flavor. For me, 1's soundtrack will never be equalled. It's pure soul
