Most hostile mutants aren't smart enough to drink bottled water, and the one kind that are don't seem keen on drinking lethal water.The only two mutants that are shown to be affected are civilized town dwelling humans, and non-feral ghouls (a extremely beneficial mutation in the setting with magic powers.
