Play The Division
nah
>>729659482maybe if timmy tencent buys it for me
>>729659482Do it before you can't anymore
>>729659482How did they get this to run on hardware from 10 years ago
>>729661181Snowdrop engine is truly incredible and Massive are very competent developers. Remember it was downgraded too because it was in that era of bullshot trailers with cringe voice acting. Still looks incredible to this day. As does The Division 2. Wish they would use that engine more. I wonder if only Massive understands how to develop with it, because it's their own in house engine.
>>729659482>Happy holidaysDeserved the apocalypse, thoughbeit.
>>729661181You can't interact with the environment at all.No wait, you can close car doors if you walk past them, lmao.
This game was kino.I remember my brother playing it when I was 9.
>>729662074Idk desu, the environmental destruction is pretty incredible.
>saw that The Division 2 is still getting content and support >apparently has a strong dedicated endgame player base >also has two New York expansions Well lads, is it worth playing? I got it for free. I wouldn't mind a pretty looter shooter slop game to turn my brain off and grind for a while.
>>729662567It's still very broken netcode wise. You will crash and desync at regular intervals.
>>729659482
>>729661943They used the snowdrop engine on Star Wars Outlaws and, other than main character's design, I thought everything was top quality - the environments, interactions, wind visibly blowing across grassy fields, down to the animated crosshairs when firing/idling/charging up - all of them were pretty good. All lighting in the game is also pathtraced - they somehow made this feasible by making the engine handle pathtracing natively to allow non-RTX cards to run it, and then optimized it to the point weaker systems (like consoles) can run it. Also, I think even ambient audio may have some kind of pathtracing to determine how muffled and attenuated it sounds.
>>729663830i've seen this hitman webm before
>>729663830Uhm anon, what is she wearing?
>>729662567Sometimes the based game with all the dlcs is on sale for like 15 bucks. Imho absolutely worth it. I've been playing both Division 1 and 2, and while I prefer the winter setting and atmosphere of the first, the second one has more to offer in terms of gameplay mechanics and build variety. It's a looter shooter through and through, so the end game is pretty much focused on doing the same activities/missions over and over again, but the devs are trying to introduce some variety with seasonal modifiers and open world changes.
>>729664038Is there matchmaking for endgame content like raids?
>>729659482What's a good way to play it on your own? I gave it a whirl twice, and the early enemies are so numerous and tanky, while having better AI and tactics than the average shooter enemy, that it got tedious to die and have to restart a whole long fight over and over.
>>729659482Why would I play this when Arc Raiders is everything I ever wanted from The Division?
>>729663830>other than main character's designFrom the looks of your clip they fixed it
>fire it up over christmas>new character>Global chat full of chinese messages>never see another player in any of the safezones>queue for a few missions>never get matched with anyone>wander around NY for a bit then quit
>>729664219get good
>>729664287Because as much as I love Arc Raiders i need a break from it from time to time. Whether it's feeling monotonous or because it's exhausting to play a game where I always have to be hyper aware and locked in. I almost wish Arc Raiders had something similar to the Dark Zone.
I miss this game a ton. Sucks ubisoft abandoned it so quickly. Honestly it's the best of the looter shooters.
>>729663884lies>>729663930She's Kay Vess, naturally she'd be wearing a Vess.. assuming she remembers to put it on unlike picrel>>729664295>theyyou mean me plus another guy that made the base mods. I merely retextured a lot of what was already available as mods.
>>729664502>I almost wish Arc Raiders had something similar to the Dark Zone. The whole game is pretty much the dark zone, which is why its better. Honestly the Division was only good in its Alpha/Beta when everything wasnt a bullet sponge.
>>729664673Arc Raiders is so lucky it has amazing gunplay. Because I cannot argue with you. I 100% prefer it over The Division. But they really are two different genres.
>>729664856>But they really are two different genresDepends on how you played the game, I only cared for the PVE which Ubishit made obvious they didn't care enough about after release.
>>729664948Really? Pretty sure the entire focus of that game is endgame PvE content. The Dark Zone is like 20% of what that game offers.
>>729664948(me)>PVEI meant PVP. >>729665024
>>729664164There's matchmaking for everything, majority of people just matchmake for missions and strongholds. However for the two main raids(Dark Hours and Iron Horse) I'd recommend to look for dedicated groups - they're a bit difficult and success rate depends on a teams knowledge and preparations for the different stages. The mini-raid called Countdown can be done with randoms though, it's very short and is great for farming targeted loot.
>>729665063Yeah I guess it helps I'm a Chungartha enjoyer and only kill people in Arc Raiders when defending myself from rats and KoSiggers
When are they adding the survival mode?
I played SO much of those early alphas and betas in the dark zone, hours and hours and hours and hours, I had so much fucking fun, but the game came out and was a buggy shitty performing mess and I just completely gave up. How is 2? I got it at some point, maybe I was drunk and bought it or something.
>>729665561PvE is fine. PvP, DZ specifically, is full of cheaters, gankers, retards with lone wolf mentality and also cry babies complaining about op gear whenever they get killed by anything that's not what they themselves build around.
>>729659482I'd rather play The Multiplication, thanks.
>>729662784Works on my machine
>>729664219Use your gadgets, nigger. The seeker mine and the turrets are especially great early on. The fixer drone's pretty good if you find yourself getting torn up by enemies a lot. Second game's a little easier than the first. The first has some serious balance issues with the enemies and missions. Quite a few missions feel very much like they were made with co-op first and foremost in mind with little thought given to singleplayer. The second game is a lot more balanced in that regard.
>>729669972The second game is objectively better with much more content but damn does the map feel like a downgrade. I mean it's still a detailed visual spectacle and runs amazing, but summer time D.C. pales in comparison to wintery New York city.
Is bum rushing Medical with naked runs the best way to get my 3 Ion Splitters?
>>729671035assembly is where you want to go. Go free kit, shoot around someone so they kill you for like 5 raids and then get into friendly lobbies and get them for free.
>>729659482Play first or second game? I think the first one is dirt cheap right now on steam and I wouldn't trust my money to ubishit made later on because ubishit while being already bad enough back then with endless AC rehashing they're now even worse and they're still rehashing AC formula.Do people still play it?
>>729661943Division 2 gameplay was trash
Trash0 stars
>>729659482>realistic visuals>shoot someone's unprotected head with high caliber rounds>numbers pop upI love the settings and the visuals, but i can't deal with this shit.
>>729670837New York is a better setting overall, the Warlords DLC convinced me that it wasn't just about the season.
>>729673218The lack of gore is what kind of disappoints me. If I shoot a dude in the head with an LMG, I expect that dude's head to get pulped. It's actually kind of baffling to me that there's no gore really. It's an M rated game so why the fuck can't I send bad guys' limbs flying when I nail them with a grenade?
>>729673538Idk because the game doesn't shy away from brutal visuals. Remember that place in The Dark Zone that literally had hundreds of dead bodies stacked on top of each other like discarded trash bags?
>>729673302I'd imagine a lot of it has to do with the fact that NYC is that as a whole it's more distinct and varied. When it comes to DC, who the fuck even thinks about anything besides the monuments, and a couple of the museums?
>>729659482god no
game is good. you can still find people running around the dz i saw a couple as i levelled last week.
>>729664287Because Arc Raiders looks like a shitty asset flip?
>>729675318Everything about the game looks pretty good for a UE5 game but the character designs look like shit. The games gameplay is 100x better, though.
