>>729670290It's funny seeing how far this series went considering this was the irrefutable drop off point. The first three games are good but they form a disjointed series. 4 was just awful. I guess it's a testament to how strong the visuals and storytelling of the original were, considering it's the best one and every game since has just been milking it. 2 was good but it was hardly a sequel, 3 was a sequel to 1 but it was kind of a fuck you. I guess they can just keep milking it forever, as far as I know every game in the series past 3 has been bad but the fans are so enamored with the atmosphere that they can just keep making em and people will keep blowing smoke up their ass baiting new people into the series. I think most people who play the games past 3 are given blue balls then have to go back and play the originals to see what all the fuss is about. That's what happened to me with Homecoming. It was interesting enough but felt somehow incomplete or unfinished, half baked then I went back and played the original. I wonder if that's whats going to happen with Silent Hill F. In the long run though we now have a series with 10+ games or some shit where only 3 of them are good, and 2 is only arguably good if you ignore that it's not a silent hill game.

It feels like a bad parody, not to mention the changed to the inventory and item system and the tacky haunted house level design. It's the worst parts of 2 and 3 combined. Not even team silent could make a good silent hill game, the first one is only good by accident, the second one is a completely different game and the third one is just riding the coattails of the original before it was milked completely dry by a neverending barrage of sequels by different developers to a series that wasn't a good series to begin with.
