DBD's problem is it is horrifically unbalanced on a fundamental level. But despite that the devs wanted the game to be yet another ELO ranked grinding kinda game so they endlessly fuck with it to try to make it more balanced.

In so far as I can tell the game lends itself to being too personal, in horror slashers like 20 people die, in DBD you're 4 people, and there's a bunch of dishonorable metas and actions you can take, the game itself is just fundamentally a poorly built horror game, which is why even I, a horror game enjoyer, do not play it but just watching others and from second hand info I can tell it's just fundamentally dogshit which is why the playerbase gets angry at each other. something that people who dont actively play this game should know is that killers DO win most of the time, and usually get paired against uncoordinated survivors that are each playing solo or sometimes in duo with someone and one of the two is massively dogshit at the game.the horror stories of bully squads destroying killers is like one game after the killer stomped around 7 lobbies.the main problem dbd has with killers is that it feels genuinely awful to get outplayed by a survivor, a pallet stun or a flashlight save can almost physically hurt, specially since all the time you feel on a timer, it can give anxiety and makes most killer fell forced to use slow down perks.
I'm very thankful DBD exists so that it can contain everyone retarded enough to still play it despite complaining endlessly about whatever role they aren't playing.
