>completely new series>you play as a syrian-american man living his generational trauma by playing as his ancestor in Syria & Palestine killing members of the Catholic church and Templar knights who attempt to colonize his country >released in 2007 during the height of anti-middle east sentiment and War on terror politics >overwhelmingly successful and started a million dollar i.p. with twenty sequels, books, comics, animation and a moviehow did they do it?
>>729677409Illuminati connections
muh climbing
>>729677409It was tactful unlike ALL of the sequels
>>729677409The only good game in the series. Unity does some neat stuff too, but it has too much garbage to be good.
>american idpolitics are a concern to a french company
>>729677409Competent people made instead of DEI hires
>>729678159just in the sense it was still successfu here.
>>729677409>>729677409People don't really care what your game is about as long as it's good. Even nowadays you have the biggest chud grifters worshipping games like Baldur's Gate 3 for example.
>>729677409People also forget it was a technological marvel.
>>729677409You also kill Saracens, and the leader of the Assassins is a traitor.
>>729677409>make a game that's based on real world history>don't insert any modern politics into it>it's a success>make a game that takes place in a made up world not resembling ours>insert real world modern politics into it>it's shittruly a mystery
>>729677409just pure high quality presentation. The death confrotations were so kino in AC1
>>729679817this is basically it.
>>729678161Any game with a pajeet is "woke".
>>729677409>syrian-american manwho is also italian, english, and native american.
>>729677409Clearly it was the disclaimer at the start
>>729678638>People don't really care what your game is about as long as it's good.It actually wasn't even that good, though. The side missions were repetitive, vital information was hidden deep inside sub-menus, the open world was just a bit of a slog without much to do in it, and climbing and combat weren't as refined yet as in later titles. But the "climb anything" thing blew everyone's minds, the mystery plot hooked people, and the well-realised medieval world, sharp art direction, and hints at greater depth made people willing to forgive a lot. Funny, what actually makes a game "good".
>>729679817>don't insert any modern politics into itSo I guess you're just casually ignoring the Freemasonry shit in the modern day segments connecting with the animus memories? or is this yet another case of le revisionism? Fucking retard.
>>729677837>>729678097I'm glad its starting to down more on people that AC1 is the best game of the franchise.
>>729683747I'm usually the first to call out /v/'s hypocrisy regarding "politics" but I meanFreemasonry? No, the controversial thing, at the time, was portraying a historical Islamic sect and (to a lesser extent) a historical Christian order as atheists who are aware that religion is a lie used to manipulate people. This was what they were cautious about. But they didn't have to worry about their actual audience because gamers at the time were known to be reasonable about things, look down on moral outrage, and were generally irreligious anyway. Now that's something that has changed quite a bit, for some reason.
>>729683747in ac1 only the very last modern day segment had the freemason shit in it, and there's nothing modern about it if you're not a conspiracy theories freak
>>729686305>very last modern day segment had the freemasonLmaoHow are people so blind, yet so cocky at the same time? You played a "conspiracy theories freak" game, yet you couldn't discern the obvious connections between Freemasonry and the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon?
>>729677409those damn christians trying to force their sick new religion on the indigenous islamic populace how horrible imagine if the outrage if the roles were reversed!!!
>>729686694>you couldn't discern the obvious connections between Freemasonry andhonestly ass creed was where I first heard of freemasons being anything more than a worker's guild, only burgers care about them so much
>>729677409Jade's game! Jade's game!
That was the timeframe people “realized” the DHS was evil and should be abolished and Muslims are le heckin’ good people Now it’s the opposite kinda, except they still want the DHS to be abolished, they just wanna keep ICE
>>729683747>Game about secret societies and conspiracies has various references to Freemasonry Wow stop the presses
>>729680041They were good. Gruesome and violent but not in an over the top hollywood sadistic snuff porn kind of way, like the sequels
>>729686305The modern sections were pure black helicopters fluoride in the water conspiracy kino, I dont know what youre talking about.
>>729683737>vital information was hidden deep inside sub-menus????>and climbing and combat weren't as refined yet as in later titles. The climbing got nerfed and dumbed down in the sequels
>>729677409it had """""potential"""""potential was never realised, there has never been an AC game that actually impressed me from start to finish. I consider the 3 first games the best, the rest is just fluff, or AC in name only
>>729677409Parkour was cool
Desmond isn't Syrian you faggot, he's ethnically ambiguous. He's related to Ezio and dude from 3 too.
>>729677409Jade Raymond's fat tits. Someone pull up the chugworth pic.>>729678159Pic related.
Story was so fucking boring nobody paid attention
>>729688737>vital information was hidden deep inside sub-menusDid you know that the side missions aren't just repetitive busywork, but the documents you steal and the information you extract actually have actionable information about patrols and infiltration spots? All of which is hidden somewhere in a menu and quite unusable because you can't progress time or even set custom markers iirc
>>7296841652 is superior on just about wvery level but after that the franchise lost what made it soul, still never played black flag which is supposedly great but I play these games to navigate ancient cities like a time travel vacation
>>729677409weirdly enough, this is actually my favorite modern day sections in any AC game. i like how grounded they feel and the dialogue feels interesting. plus the whole thing with trying to link tidbits of information Desmond manages to find out through the conversation and the emails makes for genuinely interesting world building imo. Why did they never invest in the present day stuff after AC3, again?
>>7296894102 has:>same gameplay>worse story>unplayable without the HUD1 is better.
>>7296894102 is the origin of everything wrong with AC as a franchise.
>>729683747>Game about conspiracies>Has Freemasonry symbolism, a CLASSIC of conspiracy theories
>>729678159>>729689000i mean it is now.also checked.
