Being a niche weirdo back in the days of physical media was kinda cool since it was pretty normal for the games you bought day one just because you liked them went up in price like crazy over the next 10-20 years. Meanwhile all the normalfag core stuff sits in bargain bins for two bucks. Of course you don't go into games like investments, that's silly, it just is fun to go from the feeling of being an outsider weirdo to being ahead of your time.
