I hate preordering but I did it because it was way cheaper. It was on GMG for 18% off and then I used the christmas coupon code for another 5% off. I got it for about 54 bucks.I almost never by new games though, RE is the one exception because its my favorite series.

Such game would need A LOT of time to be developed. And I suspect that Capcom wants the release order of the games to make sense despite not sharing the same chronology. It would feel strange to jump from 9 straight to 5. Especially considering that 9 is being hailed as the last numbered title. In this sense, going from 9 back to 0, the beginning, seems way more elegant. Besides, 5 is a direct sequel to 0 in terms of lore. Going from 0 to 5 is already a huge improvement. Now 5 is also a direct sequel to 1 and CV in terms of the characters and their conflicts. Considering that Capcom also said that RE9 is the end of the recent Leon trilogy (RE2, RE4, RE9) it wouldn't be a bad idea to start a Chris trilogy or a Chris saga. And considering that 2028 is in two years, I don't see a more fitting way to celebrate than releasing the RE0-RE1 remakes.

You can see Leon driving toward it from the other town in the bottom right corner. Only concern is how they plan the content considering there'll be 10-15 hours left. I'll look forward to it anyway but either it's going to have to be structured like RE3 remake sequences, or it'll be DLC heavy.

Had weird collision issues in the fish section so I instantly died a couple times obnoxiously. Didn't like the doll house and baby section, especially on replays. And the metal factory just sorta felt a bit like a final lap scenario with your upgraded gear that wasn't doing much for me, before the actual Chris final lap anyway. There were good ideas on display like turning the village itself into a recurring hub with more secrets to find, but it felt like things I could look past before were sort of doubled down upon or the wrong lessons were taken, and then you'd just have big ass RE4 style shootouts with small hordes of enemies every so often to remind you that it's not 7.

The transition between Rhodes Hill and Raccoon City should be barely noticeable. It's obvious that the Chronic Care Center has a secret lab underneath but unlike each other RE game, that lab shouldn't be the endgame. I think it would be cool if Grace goes even deeper and escapes the lab through a door connected to the city sewers where you can see the city lights filtering through the manhole covers and can hear the sounds of the city above you as you escape from the monsters that roam around. Then the sewers could lead Grace to an abandoned subway station that leads to Raccoon City. Honestly, I hope they manage to squeeze the juice when it comes to urban decay. Think of the Condemned games or the 2004 movie Creep. What I'm really worried about is the game being divided in episodes like RE Revelations. That could kill the pacing. And that is the reason he is driving there so fast. Anything for a young gf, I guess.
