What's the future of the EDF series now that EDF 8 has left a nice legacy?
Do you have hopes and dreams for a sequel?
>>
idk if they fixed it in 6 but I hope they fix the in-game chat so it's not shit
I got to about mission 40 in 5 with a friend group about 2 months back but they haven't played since. I've got 6, so should I just jump into that and play solo, or finish 5 on my own?

6 is a direct sequel to 5 so if you care about story at all it would be good to finish and despite it being EDF, the 6 story is actually kino

It would be hard to top 6 I feel like, but I kinda agree that there needs to be some QoL improvements to menu, ui and chatting, shit feel like a 2006 mmo sometimes

EDF6 is a pretty cinematic experience compared to EDF5. You can play that game solo just fine.

Unfortunately the multiplayer desync issues and rehashing of EDF5 just shows how bad the devs are at handling their mainline series. They really need to come up with some more innovative gameplay features or EDF6 is going to be the last great big release we'll see in a long time. Doesn't help that games like Helldivers 2 are doing pretty well these days, while EDF is languishing in the shadows.

Shame since EDF is without a doubt more fun in my opinion. Not to mention Helldivers is headed by Swedish devs who insist on being anti-fun retards

Bullet witch collaboration

man I cant believe I never heard of this series before. ive been playing "iron rain" with my nephew because I came across it randomly in the ps plus catalogue and noticed it was 2 player. and it is such a great game for some split screen fun. And it looks like there's still 5 and 6 available to play as well

red pill me on this series bros

For me, it's air raider

I love calling down the wrath of high powered120mm cannons on my enemies
Then napalming them
Then for good measure I send my drones to BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT them

Iron rain kinda sucked. They tried to make it have more mainstream appeal with fancier graphics, but they had to drastically cut down the enemy counts to make it work. EDF is having hundreds of enemies on screen at once. I also felt the weapon selection in Iron Rain sucked, but that's probably at least in part to having to try to balance things around the lower enemy counts. Otherwise I don't even remember it enough to have any specific complaints, aside from some multiplayer issues.

>repackage and resell the game
I skip EDF6 because I refuse to support lazy devs. The game is $60 for fuck's sake, at least put some effort into it if you're gonna charge that much.
