post your favorite underrated game(s) of any genre
>>
I liked the start of it, but once I got to the tropical area I quickly realized that I was supposed to follow the exact meta to succeed and lost interest

It unfortunately gets even worse at the ending, with teams designed specifically to churn through an average players pile of random shitters. The difficulty spike is insane.

I loved how every mon I came across had me like
>Wtf that's insane this shit is broken
I ended the game with an age team with the golem and that squid as my carries. Went into the dlc with a full dragon team.

One of those games that's going to be impossible to balance it's either going to be too hard or too easy
>>
>Elliot Quest
An excellent Zelda 2-esque game with tons of secrets and exploration. A lot of the optional content is unfortunately very, very difficult (one of the last optional dungeons has traps and foes that kill you in one hit regardless of your HP or defense), but the main quest has a good challenge and is spread out enough that you'll happen upon a few secrets between each dungeon.

>Ultros
An interesting Metroidvania that feels like two interwoven games in one. Slice your way through aliens and insects to find a way to escape the sprawling space station, or take the peaceful route and solve the puzzle that is the Living Network by growing gardens of bizarre plant life. The combat is a bit jank, focused more on using varied moves for better enemy drops, and some of the environment puzzles are sure to frustrate and confound. But it's a Metroidvania that does something truly different with its mechanics, and for that I think it's worth checking out.

You can make any random shitter work if you have a solid strategy, just look at my team, two unevolved monsters are in there because they fill a niche, that fucking rock guy was in my team since the start of the game and never evolved him, there was no need to evolve him he was perfect just the way he was.

You got simply filtered.

I could not get into that. Monsters are fugly and the jumping was bad.

Moonstone Island, I think it was a pretty neat idea to combine a deck building game with a monster collector game.

Play Cladun X3, one would think that a game made by the developers of Disgaea would be a bit more popular but fuck no, this game is as obscure as it gets.

I used my starting slime through my whole playthrough because stacking armor break and poison is just really good.
