See a big scary yokai? Slash its horns in 1 hit to knock it down, then follow up with a high stance combo, and now it's dead. Or you missed your chance and it two shots you.

Nioh 2 suffered from 2 flaws. First off, for true endgame builds, you were limited to a Magic, or critical build. It was a pain in the ass to get to the final depths of the underworld. Second, the final bosses were just too damn tanky. Other than that, it was a joy to play. I would start again in a new character, but grinding for hidden skills was such a bitch.

I'm not sure why they removed hatchet's Mountain Climber input to have it fight for the forward+triangle input that so many other skills are already fighting for.
