However, Square Enix would need to fundamentally change how the game functions for that to happen. A more likely option would be a dungeon and boss run mode outside of the single-player experience. Who knows if they are even planning that, though.

Just watch some trailers and get what appeals to you more from an artistic and gaming standpoint. That said, if you prefer real-time or turn-based combat, then the choice is actually rather clear.

I'm really excited for this game. I know it won't happen but I wish they would unify all three parts so they don't feel like totally separate games. It would be nice if the first part received a graphical update (especially because some areas look like shit) as well as rounding out the combat system a little more. Whatever, still love the games and I'm very excited for the next one. Ya-hoo!
