After all these years, I'm still sad to see how Sims 4 turned out. If Maxis/EA were worried about performance problems, they could have divided the game world up into segments. For example, while in the residential district, only that area will be updated instead of everything else. It wouldn't be open world, and there would still be loading, but it would still be more open than it is now. Sims 3 is arguably the best, but it will always have performance problems and stuttering. Plus, I never liked how the characters looked in 3, which is one of the few advantages 4 has over 3.
