How's this one? It's probably the cheapest it has ever been.
>>
why does every freaking cart that you people post have northern journey in it, i'm noticing the campaign.
>>
>>729719195
Yeah, same with Nuclear Throne. No one talked about it until 1.0 or whatever released, then we got a ton of threads for a week, and then during cart sales I noticed a lot of them had that game on it.
>>
>>729717792
It's alright, the enviroments are gorgeous and reward you for exploring them. Combat is kinda spastic and more like I'd expect of a Gundam game than space sim. Some combat abilities and weapons are just objectively useless. Looter shooter mechanic sucks and gets really tiring. Still a fun ride for a couple dozen hours, no interest in postgame tho.
>>
>>729716698
Only the first half of Northern Journey is good so you should wait for at least -50%.

>>729717218

I got memed into buying it a while back based on these threads, I like the idea of it but it's not much fun to play
>>729719386
makes me feel better, I dropped it at the part where you have to find 8 shields in that giant forest and I remembered that on some level games are meant to be enjoyable

Tainted Grail or E33? I think I'd prefer Tainted Grail as a game, BUT, I would get a physical copy of E33 which is always better than a digital copy.

Northern Journey was mainly about the graphics for me and it nails that part. The 2nd half takes places in some ice caverns where everything looks the same and it's very combat-heavy which is cancer with those dogshit projectile weapons.

It might be better if you're someone who can get invested in vidya characters you can name etc, but I'm the kinda person who named their cult followers "sacrifice ASAP" etc.
It felt like a good game if it was on the cheap but I didn't get engrossed in it.

Every Steam Sale i'm almost 100% sure i want a game, i buy it then i'm like: "this isn't as much fun as i expected it to be, i think i'm gonna refund it and buy something else".
This year was with The Crew Motorfest. It's a good game, but being always online + running like shit on the Steam Deck made me kinda hate it, plus i don't understand why they have the fucking playlists instead of just letting us drive in TC2.

Also bought Talos Principle 2, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Ace Combat 7, BallisticNG and City Skylines. Aside from maybe City Skylines and maybe Talos Principle 2, i don't think i really wanna play the other games.

It is a skillbased game, luck can make it easier but you can still beat the game with a shit build if you know the attack patterns and ain't shit. As the others said, it is repetitive, I still liked it for a bit though. You can also pick different routes to reach the end boss so it's not always going to be the same if that's what you want. For a 50% sale I say why not. Can always pirate it first before so you know if it's worth buying or not.

Don't be, Easy Red 2 is fucking incredible. If you sank hundreds of hours into the old Battlefields you'll fucking love it and end up sinking hundreds of hours into it as well. It's everything good about the genre from that era with no modern cancer and it's way higher quality than you'd expect it to be. It even has decent bots.

If you're really unsure, just buy the base game and give it a whirl, you can always refund it.

I guess technically I could ask a friend to send me that pic, but you can see it says "edit or change showcase" which would only show up on your own profile, I even said I would edit the showcase to anything. Its the best Digimon game we have available right now. You have over 400 digimons available, its kind of a SMT lite, you have 3 different type combinations you should look for and it does matter in dealing damage. I don't really know what else to say to you. The story is really good...probably a lot better than whatever pokemon have been doing lately. To be honest i never missed a pokemon release so far and i got Time Stranger at almost the same time as ZA and it completely satisfied my need for monster collector games.

>>
>>729748150
why is /v/ so against gifting anons games?
>>
>>729747967
It deliberately wastes your time with RNG bullshit. If you're rushing to the main goal of the game, it's not a huge problem. But if you're going for the more obscure puzzles, it's a pain in the ass.
>>
>>729748661
a lot of hoarder anon, you gift someone game expecting them to play it, instead they let it rot while playing the same game over and over again
>>
>>729748661
The people who ask for games on /v/ do it for the thrill of getting a stranger spending money on them, not because they're genuinely interested on them.
You look at their Steam libraries and they have 500 or more untouched games, all of them being AAA, critically acclaimed games and "must play games" while the only games they actively play are F2P games like TF2 or Counterstrike.
>>
>>729748593
It depends on your backlog
Big backlog means you should get only 2 expensive games.
Otherwise, get the cheap ones.

Arc Raiders seems interesting but the game is such a true pvp niggerman simulator with "rats"
>>
Any recent co-op game in the same vein as Vermintide, KF or Deep Rock Galactic?

No, I don't give a shit about PvP
>>
>>729749320
I disagree, again it depends. You gotta look in their Steam profile and see the type of games they play. If its mostly CS2 or TF2 with a lot of their single player games being untouched. Sure ignore and don't gift that person.
But if you see the profile has barely any hours or none on those F2P multiplayer games and are mostly on Single player games, then totally you should gift that person.
>>
>>729748826
The problem is I'm having trouble thinking of the last time I paid AAA prices and it was truly worth it. I guess DBFZ since I bought that at release and got like 200+ hours out of it, and I'm probably still gonna play it later. I try not to pay AAA "on release" prices, but even if I drop $60 on a game I play for 10 hours I'm gonna feel ripped off.
>>
Gifting games has another issue: the people who gift games only gift titles THEY PERSONALLY LIKE regardless of the other person's tastes due to sheer selfishness, narcissism or being braindead fanboys.
You don't like fighting games at all and love dungeon crawlers like Wizardry? Too bad, the faggot will gift you Autism Fighter 4' Champion Edition XX Third Strike and will act offended when you don't touch it.
>>
>>729749376
They are not the same kind of game, subnautica is a survival / narrative game while planet crafter is an incremental game (with a very tedious end game, the last tier of technologie asks as much time as the rest of the game combined), I would advise it over planet crafter.

Planet crafter can offer some light automation but nothing close to factorio/satisfactory.

>>
>>729749675
In my experience, they ask you what you want within a price limit or none. Literally your choice.
And if they do gift you something randomly, its usually something they like that they saw in your wishlist, so if you didn't want it then that's your fault that you put it in your wishlist.
So no most of the time gifters don't just randomly gift games they deemed that you will like, they will ask you what you want instead
>>
>>729750301
This post is full of lies and fiction.
Gifters don't look at your wishlist or the games you play and like; they simply gift the games they personally like.
When you confront them about being selfish fags, they always use the same excuse:
>"IT'S A GAME I LOVE SO I WANT TO SHARE THE LOVE WITH OTHERS!"

Not him but
>satisfactory
3d.
>factorio
more depth and logistical difficulty.
>my hot take
Buy dyson sphere. combat is more entertaining to watch and if we ever get the space vehicle update it'll be the best. the downside again is logistics is very easy once you add the third dimension. But I think autism people tend to make scale the new difficulty.
>>
>>729755501
I only played factorio so I can only speak to that one
it is a bit rough if you don't have autism and have issues deciding how to plan out conveyors for future-proofing before you need them. your first few maps of it will be cut short when you start learning what comes next in regular progression and you decide to just start fresh with that info instead of tearing up everything
theres also a main bottleneck point a quarterish of the way into the game where most people stall out and quit. if you can get past that without throwing a tantrum, you can manage the rest of the game.
you only have a 2d plane to build on, with a couple exceptions, whereas satisfactory is fully 3d
at the very least get factorio without the space age expansion and don't buy that until you are certain you like the game enough.
>>
Has anyone here played fight knight? is it like punchout or something?

They are two completely different game both factory builder and automation game. Factorio is never on sale and includes a tower defense aspect.

The most important difference is:
>factorio offers the use logic gates
>satifactory doesn't have logic gates

Factorio is more complexe satisfactory is more easy going.

You can finish Megabonk in like 5 runs, it's nowhere near games like Risk of Rain 2, idk how people even compare them.
Can't say it's a bad game though, you can get fun out of it, specially if you like the genre you can pull like 50h tops out of it.
>>
>>729757218
I picked up risk of rain 2 a while ago for cheap and still haven't tried it, any dlc important?
>>
>>729756969
The problem I have with the game is that it's incredibly meta, way more than other games of that kind. The number of build able to bring you to the end of a run are very few making it very repetitive. You have one or two path to power creep you HAVE to follow. Most item /powerups you unlock you will deactivate those to limit the drop pool to make sure you get those upgrades. Runs are just not worth doing if you don't get one of the power creep item or upgrade.

The deep rock galactic survivor is good.
>>

>>
>>729757218
>>729757259
games like megabonk and ror2 aren't about just finishing a good run with a full boss kill and calling it quits
its about playing a million times over and over to unlock all the items and achievements until it gets boring to you.
>ror2 dlc
get them after you try out the base game to see if you would even like it long-term. then get the dlc one by one or all at once to get all that extra content and achievements to unlock
