High level demos it seems are barely using sticky traps anymore, they can just rapid fire stickies with perfect timing and detonate them midair right on your head. Pyro is either OP with uber phlog or nerfed to shit otherwise, with afterburn being completely useless, you can be actively burning a cloaked spy hearing the sound effect and they can still vanish before your eyes and extinguish within a split second. So yeah those elite level players existed, but they did not dominate the overwhelming majority of matches the way they do now.
