Black friday tech sales tend to be bought by adults who intend for personal use, whereas December sales are more often parents/grandparents buying gifts. Switch 2 has been available all year at the same price, very few people intending to buy one for themselves would wait until November, as the assumption would be that there wouldn't be a huge deal, and indeed, only a couple retailers put a discount on it at all as a doorbuster, and only by $50. Meanwhile, ps5 has been having abysmal sales all year, partly due to price increases, and it was in some cases up to nearly $200 off, so no shit, there was a sudden surge of sales (still not as much as vgshartz is saying though).
