Actually DaS2 also has a pretty shitty final boss, I guess bad Souls games also tend to have bad final bosses.

Messy, very obviously just a bunch of incongruent parts slapped together to try to make something memorable but which ultimately just feels kind of bloated and bland. It just gets less interesting the further you get into it.

Nostalgic, but in a way that feels a bit cynical. Best final boss mechanically among the ones listed here, even with the shadow of pandering hanging over it. Despite everything a perfect capstone to the trilogy.

And then Time Eater is the most nothing-burger of a Super Sonic fight, but is simultaneously a pain in the ass to do "no-damage" because the feedback is terrible.

I never cared about bosses in gaming that much.
Maybe it's cause I'm a neet and don't have strong feelings towards the concept of a boss.
But I've always been more of a level enjoyer, even in action games like dmc or the souls series. I watch some vids and I see people just run through the levels to the bosses. I find it so strange.
