The action combat has fundamentals of something fun... But the characters are way too shallow. To give an idea, you have maximum of three characters on your team at all times, and them all put together is less than one of Dante's styles.
Purely looking at screenshots, it's probably visually most impressive gacha, and combat also looks nice, but that's pretty much where presentation ends. The main story is extremely unanimated, whenever character has to enter the scene screen goes black, and they just teleport in. Also, whenever dialog is unvoiced, nobody has any animations like what you'd see in normal games, like shaking their head, nodding or something like that.
And speaking of story, it sucks. Each chapter focuses on few specific characters, and they have extremely little relevance before and after their chapter. The story telling is just not good.
Also, the staff has like no confidence in the game. Everything keeps being reworked and changed, making for every uneven experience.
I say this as launch player, it's not worth it.

In the beginning of your playthrough, just have fun. Concepts like "meta", "DPS", and "clear speed" don't even exist until you unlock the endgame modes like Deadly Assault and Shiyu Defense where that shit actually matters. Take your time and get a feel for the game.
I don't know how much gacha experience you have so you may find this a no-brainer, but don't pull on the standard banner. I was enticed by the guaranteed S-rank selector and sank 300 pulls into the standard when I first started playing. I'm glad to have mommymaidwife Rina, but in hindsight it was quite a waste.
If the bunny is what got you to pull the trigger, it's worth knowing that she's a very good supporting character for another new character that just released, Ye Shunguang, who also seems to be one of the best characters right now.

You select a squad of 3 characters for any activity you choose to do, and you can only play one of those characters at a time. It's fun but the shitty gacha mechanics don't bring out its maximum potential unless you whale. The game constantly taunts you with new characters you can never get unless you spend money. A pure F2P doesn't even get enough currency for one new character per patch. Even the most logical spending choice (Battle Pass + daily currency) might push enough to get one new character per patch. Since the base rates are sub 1% all the way to 74 pulls, you can't count on being lucky. This is also completely ignoring w-engines but thankfully ZZZ is the only chinese hoyo(like) gacha where premium weapons aren't necessary.

You'll play it, have fun with it, get one or two of the new characters, and a few months down the line you will spend over 85 rolls (aka an entire patch's worth of currency) only to get a Nekomaya and rage uninstall. Then move on to the next open world chinese gacha slop.

It was an okay action gacha with some quirks, but then they pivoted in a lot of (mis)directions before landing in their awkward present position. After fighting against the first major boss at the end of the storyline, things just felt like they lost their magic. Lots of characters will no longer get their spotlight, and battles turn into a tedious loop (unless you roll good characters that can end it fast). I also feel that in this game, "catching up" is harder to do.
