Do not pollute the open air reservoir, do not cut down trees, etc.What's wrong with that?Also, it's not like they're starving or barely have enough resources to do anything. Even though they live in a desert they've got the means to actually eat proper meals because there are livestock around that thrive somehow. Everyone can head down to the restaurant and have themselves a feast if they wanted to. And the worst it gets is food rationing after an accident shakes the town.The lack of farmable land didn't push them to being in post apocalyptic conditions.
