I finally finished this after 11 years playing on easy and healmaxxing, should I go on with II and Inquisition?
>>729795212no, it's only downhill from here
>>729795212II is worth the time for the Arishok, but the rest may as well be forgotten. Anything past II is worth less than garbage.
>>729795212No, the franchise is over after Awakening.
>>729795619It really is telling how everything involving Solas and on is just shit.
Mind, if you liked the game, you should definitely play the Awakening expansion. But to answer the actual question, unless you are desperately and ravenously hungry for something even remotely similar to DAO then you shouldn't play DA2 because it's a strictly worse game - and not just "worse" but disastrously bad in its own terms. Inquisition? Well, I haven't played that because DA2 was disastrously bad making me lose all interest in the series forever, but reportedly it's bad (worse than DA2? dunno?), but I reckon that, even if DA2 was a strict no, Inquisition might still be a "maybe", since I understand it to be pretty squarely an action game, not a party-based RTwP tactics game, so it might be different things for different folks kind of deal. But of course, in that case there's a lot of other ARPGs you might want to play first instead of going straight to the bottom of the barrel.
>>729796683Inquisition is very highly regarded actually, which is why I kind of want to go on and go through II as well because my ocd prevents me from skipping a game in a series
Just forget that Dragon Age is a series. It will be better for you.
>>729796847>Inquisition is very highly regarded actuallyby women and retardsit's a dogshit game, it's just more high budget feeling than 2 so people are tricked by presentation and overall flashyness
>>729795212No, Origins is the only good one.
>>729796942Inquisition won the GOTY, lay off the copium lmao, I'm getting second hand embarrassment from your try-hard posts
>>729797059Yeah and these were its competition>Bayonetta 2>Dark Souls II>Hearthstone>Middle-earth: Shadow of MordorAlien Isolation, MGSV GZ, DoS1, Titanfall or even hecking Destiny would have deserved it more, so I think Inquisition winning says more about the shit nominees than it actually winning, so ot really an accomplishment when the GOTY nominees were that shit
>>729796847Well, for the record, nothing much happens in DA2. I'll spoil it but at very high level and really there's nothing to spoil for the aforementioned reason. The story is nominally about the main character Hawke's rise to power in the city of Kirkwall, but the actual rise to power happens in a timeskip. In the final act the tensions between mages and templars flare up, but there were already tensions in DA:O, so it's kinda like Mass Effect 2: at the end of ME1 the Reapers are coming, and at the end of ME2 the Reapers are still coming (and Shepard getting killed and resurrected amounted to fuck all).
>>729797378Thanks for spoiling 3 whole games. I hope you step on a lego.
>>729797506I contemplated using spoiler tags, but that would have been too much respect given to the """story""" in DA2 (or the main story of ME2 for that matter; there's good side content and I didn't spoil that).
>>729795212DA ended with Awakening. We never had a true sequel.
>>729796259The setting really jumped the shark with him. Also, the obsession with him and his romance got way out of control even though it clearly didn't translate into people actually buying DA4.
>>729795212Play 2 if you want, it mostly plays like 1, though with lower production quality in maps and encounters. Afterwards, I'd only recommend you keep going if you really, really feel obsessed with the series. And I'd absolutely recommend against playing Veilguard for any reason.
2 and Inquisition are quite different gameplay wise, but there's no harm in trying them.
>>729795212There are no games after Awakening you competed the franchise
