I'm playing the remasters.I finished TR1 and started New Game+. This mode makes the game make a lot more sense, the challenge becomes much more interesting, but at the same time it makes it all too clear that the game's combat is total garbage, especially against other humans.Meanwhile, I'm playing TR2 in normal mode, on the second level (Venice). From what little I've seen, TR2 is going to be much more complex than TR1, where the levels are straightforward. I've been running around the same places in Venice for ages without knowing where to go. But TR2 seems, for now, to be superior to TR1, even so.

Their Anniversary/Legend/Underworld trilogy was just rail-games with no real sense of exploring or figuring shit out. Their Uncharted clones lost Square-Enix so much money that Square-Enix gave away the whole company in exchange for assuming that $300 million debt Crystal Dynamics dumped onto them. Play the Uncharted Legacy game with Tomb Raider mod. It'll make you realize that Uncharted is more like classic Lara than the CD stuff ever was. There's no leveling up skills. You get all you need to play the game at the very start (just like the CORE-era stuff). There's an actual sense of exploring. There's multiple maps plus the use of vehicles. CD really screwed up in that last trilogy, and throwing in woke Amazon for the next TR game doesn't convince me that things will get better.

Uncharted 4 > Uncharted 2 > Tomb Raider Legend > Tomb Raider Anniversary > Uncharted 3 >>> Uncharted 1I haven't played Underworld yet but if Legend is anything to go by then it's probably gonna rank somewhere next to Uncharted 3. That one is not as good or polished as Uncharted 2/4, but still a worthwhile adventure game. Uncharted 1 is terrible.
