I'm just not upgrading at all. I see no reason to. There are so few games worth playing that require more than my 1070 to play, and the rare few ones that are worth playing I can just skip because there's still like eleventy trillion games I haven't played yet that my machine can run fine.

Buying new hardware is retarded anyway. I'm not gonna enable lazy devs who can't be bothered to engage in any optimization whatsoever in the first place, fuck what it costs to upgrade. I compare the games I play to titles like Sekiro, DMC5 and Doom Eternal, all of which run fantastic on my old ass rig. I have yet to see a modern game that looks appreciably better than those, so I see no reason to believe new hardware will offer me a better experience.
