There is not a single remaster that didn't fuck in someway the original graphics. I don't know why they even try. Even shit that is highly praised like the first Metroid Prime remaster I can point things that look way better on the original. Therefore there is no remaster that is the definitive version of a game. Feel free to try prove me wrong.

Even though it's still entirely wrong, the Xbox360 and PS3 still have significantly better picture quality and color than the current generation of consoles. We now have games that can display in 4K, but they look worse than PS1 games at 240p in terms of sharpness and saturation. Every single modern game is blurry, washed out, and dull. I seriously don't understand this phenomenon. People keep saying we need more photorealistic graphics, but they look worse than PS1 games. There is no artistic distinction, everything looks the same, is made with the same tools, and plays almost the same. And people still pretend that the term "slop" is not justified and is just a buzzword, but in reality, it perfectly describes modern games.
