A New XLThe metallic finish started coming off on my hands and so I protected it with a clear case, but now it’s heavy enough to be uncomfortable.I wish I wasn’t so young and foolish and just got a matte regular new 3DS when they were like $100 now I feel old and foolish as their value is skyrocketing

N3DS XL. I like it quite a lot.
Normal black 3DS XLIt doesn't charge or turn on, I suspect I'd have to get a new battery but then again I wouldn't actually use it, on the rare occasion I'd like to play a 3DS game I just emulate it. I still frequently use my Vita though, emulation isn't great and it's a great form factor
A N2DSXL. Like another anon said the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Are the N3DSXLs any better in that regard? Is the hinge as dreadful?
Blue 3DS XL. It was basically a monster hunter machine desu.

The touchscreen stopped working a couple of years ago, so I think I'd need to replace the digitizer if I wanted to play anything on it again. The only reason I would have to do that is to try to get stuff out of my old Pokemon saves, maybe. If I wanted to play a 3DS game, I would be more inclined to emulate it, or to buy a different 3DS, if one happened to fall into my lap.

Ocarina of Time 3DS, A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL and Majora's Mask New 3DS XL. There was one more Zelda themed one I probably should've bought.
I'm sad street pass is dying as well. Why hasn't anyone made a new game of similar concept? Does everything have to be online now? I see a lot commenters even express surprise when they find out streetpass "still works". Like they don't know what local wireless is.

I can’t decide which one to mod. Left has a bigger screen but it also has weaker feeling hinges. Right just feels like better quality overall.

Red New 3DS XL until it fell out of my pajama pants pocket and into the toilet when I stood up.A few months later I found a black one, same model, barely used, $200 at a flea market. About as cheap as I was going to get one these days.I might buy some limited edition if it were cheap enough and Zelda or Pokemon. Mario or MonHun I'd leave for someone that cares more about it.
