Now that the year is over, post your list of all the games you completed in 2025. Which game was your favorite and which one was your least favorite? Which game would you recommend any self respecting gamer play?
>>
how do i check if i don't use steam?
>>
i can't possibly remember all games
>>
>>729816687
I'll go first

>Favorite
Metroid Prime 2. Atmospheric perfection.
>Least Favorite
Chameleon Twist. Did not age well at all. Played it as a kid and wanted to experience it again.
>Recommend
I think all gamers need to experience Super Metroid. Its not a long game, and its influence can still be felt.
>>
>>729816860
This is was my first year keeping track of it all. Its fun. I like to jot down my thoughts as the credits roll. Adds an extra layer of finality. Its helped me play more games too.
>>
I only completed 3 games this year

Here is my list
>>
I beat 7 games this year

Alright, let's see if I can get this done before the thread dies

Ode To Castlevanie - 4/5 Solid ass tribute to Castlevania, poncle loves the series more than Konami at this point.
Metal Hellsinger - 4/5 Really cool rhythm shooter
Little Dragon Cafe 2/5 - Didn't realize its premise well enough
Hunter Call of the Wild - 2/5 Way too grindy for me
Evoland 1 - 2/5 Decent little tribute game but gimmicky in a bad way
Evoland 2 - 3/5 Much better and more thought out version of 1
Sentinel Girls 1 - 3/5 Neat flash type defense game
Sentinel Girls 2 - 4/5 Much better than the first with more of everything
Words For Evil - 2/5 I don't remember much about this one
Melvor Idle - 4/5 Solid ass Runescape flavored idle game
Factorio - 5/5 Finally went through the game and did Space Age, factory expanding is top tits, though I didn't like Aquilo much
Penny's Big Breakaway - 3/5 Enjoyable but a lot of flaws and buggy
Ender Magnolia - 4/5 Cunny Metroidvania as good as the first
Star of Providence (Formerly Monolith) - 4/5 Good ass shmup roguelite
The Citadel - 4/5 Shooter with not so subtle guro fetishism
Intergalactic Fishing - 3/5 Neat fishing RPG
Dave the Diver - 3/5 Enjoyable but got a bit tedious towards the end
Final Fantasy 1 - 3/5 Cool intro to the series, it's called Final Fantasy because you stop a time loop but they kept the name for all the sequels
Dead Cells - 2/5 Not a fan of the metaprogression and all the ads the game shoves in your face
Con Kidz 64 - 2/5 Cool aesthetics but the controls and camera weren't good, especially in the final level
Psychopomp - 3/5 Neat walking simulator with deranged retard wiafu
Galaxy Pass Station - 3/5 Fun Theme Hospital esque station manager with some Papers Please in there
Pharaonic - 2/5 generic rollslop but in 2d with an Egyptian theme
Shatter Remastered - 3/5 It's just the same thing again, play the original because it's cheaper
Typecast - 3/5 Neat wave defense typing game

to be continued
>>
>>729816687
you're just like me so i'm going to assume
1. you are 25
2. you liked sunshine

Stop shilling your website.

>>729819846
Rimworld Odyssey - 4/5 Solid ass expansion that adds space stuff and transport shuttles
Monster Train 2 - 4/5 Good ideas building off of the 1st game that also just shoves the entire 1st game's characters into it as well
Legend of Grimrock - 3/5 Cool old school dungeon crawler
Kingdom Shell - 2/5 Decent if generic Metroidvania
Dredge - 3/5 Very atmospheric but that carried the game hard, some islands were more annoying than anything else
Undertale -5/5 Did a playthrough before DR 3+4 came out, as always it's fantastic, wish it was higher framerate though
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm - 2/5 Typical arena fighter, the open world hub was neat though
Hitman Codename 47 - 2/5 The game itself is not very good with vague objectives and advancing conditions, also fuck that final level with a billion clones
Pac Man World Re-Pac - 2/5 Decent babby 3D platformer
Walking Dead Series by Chapter- 3/5 Overall
1: 3/5
2: 3/5
3: 1/5 What were they thinking
4: 3/5
Michonne - 2/5
Etrian Odyssey 1 - 2/5 Ok start to the series, poor balancing, level design, and difficulty curve, play 3 instead if you want to start the series

I gotta go so here's other standouts

Pathfinder WotR - 2/5 Way too long, the overworld minigame sucked, Chapter 4's camera gimmick is ass, Kingmaker is better
Sonic Colors - 1/5 What a terrible fucking game, music was nice though
Bits & Bops - 5/5 Extremely good Rhythm Heaven Clone
Rhythm Doctor - 5/5 Crazy ass game with only one button, does all sorts of cool stuff to your computer
Castlevania Lord of Shadow - 2/5 Western brown and bloom God of War clone Konami why
Pikmin Squared - 5/5 Good custom campaign and the improvements to 1 through the engine change makes it much more enjoyable to play

Technically this is only games that I beat and also purchased in the year 2025, but it's probably close enough. I guess it doesn't count GoG or pirated games either. whatever.

blue prince easy favorite. least favorite would have been one of the many games i dropped, idk which. i guess e33 was the most disappointing since it was a much hyped turn-based game, but i found nothing to like about its gameplay

Here's what I did, but I forgot a couple and beat one yesterday.
>Dragon Quest 4 DS
Somewhere mid good first time I played it.
>Super Bomberman 1
Replayed it but this time I played it with my brother. Hot Take: I think the co-op makes the game worse. Somewhere in the middle of OK.
>Mario's Merry Mountain Holiday
Everything about this hack is very good except for the bosses. They suck ass. Tail end of good tier.
>>
>>729818836
Great taste, anon. I completed a bunch of games, but most of them were short. I need to find time to play Psychonauts, Shadow Man and Deus Ex at some point
>>
>>729822664
Good stuff anon, I haven't gotten around to playing Regrown or Caveless yet, what didn't you like about them?

80% of it is just me not liking 2 that much. I hate caves. So I played Caveless, hoping I could get all the parts I like about 2 without the main one I don't. But it felt kinda empty to the point I missed the caves. This led me to play Regrown. While it reminded me why I didn't like caves, I highly recommend it. If you like Pikmin 2, you'll like this.
>>
>>729823507
Ah, I'm in the opposite camp where I love 2 and caves, so hopefully I'll like Regrown. I'll have to play them soon, thanks.
>>
Thanks for the recommendations NERDS haha get TRICKED

>>729816743
Make a backloggd list.
>>
>>729825256
Shit, dude. You also played Bomberman World?
>>
>>729825556
Yes. Technically bought the game in 2024, but didn’t beat it until 2025.
Only good part was the music. Otherwise it’s one of the more mediocre Bomberman games out there. The isometric view makes it hard to chain bomb blasts. The bosses are also very annoying to deal with.

Only counting stuff I saw the credits of, excluding flash games. Favorite games to release in 2025 were Bananza and Ninja Gaiden 4. Least favorite that I completed (and most disappointing) absolutely has to be Absolum, least favorite that I didn't complete would be Lost Soul Aside. Ones I think everyone should play would be the original RE4 and Bananza (purely on the basis that playing them back to back was the most fun I'd had with games in some time) as well as Loom. As a bonus, the ones I found to be most overrated despite still enjoying them were Hitman World of Assassination, E33, Rift of the Necrodancer, Metroid Fusion and Silksong.
>>
>>729825861
I have the same fucking thoughts. The game has to be unfinished or rushed out.

WL4
>Favorite (of first-time plays)
My brain says Silksong, my heart says Banjo or DK94 or Crash 1 maybe
>Least favorite
Metroid Prime 4
>Overrated
Okami
>Underrated
Wario World, maybe Mario’s Picross as well?
>>
>>729827604 here, sorry, I forgot to do this, too:
>Which game was your favorite and which one was your least favorite?
Tough to say. Stellar Blade had great combat and atmosphere, Ehrgeiz RPG mode was great (even though the arcade mode is jank), Tsukihime made me cry during a certain scene, Quake was very satisfying with its adrenaline rushes... I guess I'd just have to say I like those four equally, with Ginga Force coming in last because the 2nd-to-last stage was irredeemable gutter trash. (though the final boss stage redeemed the game)
Which game would you recommend any self respecting gamer play?
Stellar Blade, but if you REALLY like visual novels, then Tsukihime. (which is a LONG-ass read, and I'm not normally into VNs, but it gripped me)
