Why did noone tell me how fucking good the combat in this game is!It's criminal how little attention this game got. I hope they make a sequel even though its unlikely based on the player numbers.
There were tons of threads when it came out.
because the story was boring and combat generic despite that guy being a sword madman summoning rage ghosts
>>729818769Good combat, but completely soulless generic anime shit
Most people played it like fromslop and got filtered
>>729818769Play Nioh
>>729818769>denuvoNope wont buy it
>>729818769Chinkslop.
>>729818769I feel like people do talk about the combat when praising this game. It was always going to get overlooked on /v/ because it has Denuvo
>dnf>soullessI hate newfagsDnf and its spinoff games may be total garbage in a lot of ways, but they are extremely soulful.
>>729818769not buying denuvo games
>>729819781the cowboy biker era was fun. now they're fighting void animals, memory mechas, and diseased spider girls from a dimension hopping plague god
>>729818769>combat is awesome>99% of enemies and elite enemies are extremely simple and do not push you>snorefest until you reach the bosses>NG++ doesn't remix enemies or make them noticeably strongerThankfully, Nioh 3 seems to have taken some notes from Khazan. Still a great game if you like fluid combat.
the thing that throws me off my rythmn in this game is how perfect guard doesnt stop status effect but if you're not retarded and explore the level, just equip the talisman / ring combo that is probably laying around somewhere and you already know which effect the boss will use.
>>729818769Anons were calling it a Nioh-like. To be a disciple of one of the legendary kamige of modern gaming, Nioh 2.... That's how you know it's good.
>>729821202you can just dodge the attacks that have status on them, dummy
>>729818769all the thirdies cant play it cause of denuvo and will endless seethe about it
>>729818769I liked it but didn’t finish it. It was fun but idk it was missing something to keep me playing, i guess maybe i didn’t like the art direction
>>729821407If you support denuvo you are a cunt. Not only does it suck up cpu, it ruins playing games offline like persona 4>but that game is bad!Go ahead, say it. Tell everyone you don't actually care about video games being enjoyed on your own time
>>729821647waaah waaah gugu gaga. gonna gift khazan to one of my friends now because of your post
>>729821297Yeah, they teach you early on to alternate parry and dodge with Volbaino.
>>729821743Anon no one is gonna believe you have friends.Come up with better bait
>>729821647I played on a Ryzen 7 2700X together with a 1080 ti and had zero performance issues. The game isn't flawless but it's great and denuvo literally does nothing other than keeping thirdies away from it.
>>729818769>we lost BBQ for this It may be good but for that reason I won't play it
It's a piece of shit soulslop with the same 10 years old "hard" game design that is just boring There's nothing to talk about
>>729822016pretty much yeah. A boring piece of shit that I regret buying
>>729818769I did, I'm sorry you're late to the party.
>>729822016Did they patch the game easier? I am like 20 hours in and first tried all but one boss. And I am at best slightly above average player.
>>729825503No, its the same. They added new difficulty options for a harder game if you want, but nothing made it easier.
>>729825503They renamed the easy difficulty into normal, the old normal became hard and introduced a new easy for people having issues and hardcore for those who want more challenge.
>>729825731that explains a lot. I was wondering why everyone said it was so difficult while i was mostly breezing through it.
>>729826308Viper and Maluca were pretty hard on release if you didn't use reflects that make a lot of bosses significantly easier.
>>729819781this one isn't
>>729819057>complains about denuvoYou wouldn't have bought it anyway.
>>729826449I hated reflect in this and Nioh, just tie it to the parry button instead you chinks
>>729826836They reward aggressive play allowing you to beat the crap out of bosses till your stamina is depleted with only a few having a stagger cap but at the same time make defensive play total ass cause the stamina system then sucks. Reflects arent that hard to use a lot of times once you maxed them out but it's a weird design decision.

Reflects arent that hard to use a lot of times once you maxed them out but it's a weird design decision.I don't disagree with the idea, it's just having to learn a new type of parry button combo just not for me(already sucked at the base parry)
>>729821845 Yeah, that's the key to breaking him early. If you just try to brute force with parries only, he ends up punishing you hard in phase 2. Dodging the red swings and getting a reflect right after sets him up for a stun real easy. Honestly one of the better-designed fights once you get the rhythm down.
>>729828195Ok fair. I think each weapon had different kind of skill counters as well but I never really used them cause reflects were broken. Basic parry can be hard in Khazan and if you screw up you immediately stand there without stamina thanks to the stamina damage on top of the HP.
>DenuvoThey just can't stop fucking up
