I still want that Ares game. That series was such unfulfilled potential. Setting up the fun premise of Raimon getting scattered to different schools to try and scout players for a national team and then just having it revolve around the Inakuni shitters was brutal. We should have had more shit like Kidou mentoring Haizaki and actually scouting people.

Been playing through the story mode and currently on chapter 6. The chapters feel like they are a lot shorter once you actually get to play sakka. Also the script making it so you have to wait until the 2nd half to turn things around is lame. I raped Northbright 5-0 but still. You don't have to wait for other people to join, you don't have to worry about shit connections, you can turn the AI only on one side, you can also turn on advantage bonus if you want things to go even faster. The downside is it does require some upkeep and I'd only recommend it if you have a Switch/Switch 2/some form of PC handheld. That way you don't have to get a second screen to connect a console to.

I think Level 5 should let the fanbase choose the bench maybe one member of every position at most. Regardless I don't believe the next arc will be Internationals, both original and Go had an arc before that and I don't see Victory Road changing that formula.
