How many keys does your ideal keyboard haveWhat's your favorite layout?
80% since I have an mmo mouse with 16 buttons on the side
>>729853236Full numpad for buy binds and the rest for various lennybinds. 7 btw
75%.Honestly, the far bigger deal to me than TKL vs numpad (anything without number or F keys can not be considered a fucking keyboard, that's a macro pad), is modifier layout. I absolutely despise the 3/4 mod layout found on every fucking keyboard. 4/4 should be the minimum, 4/5 is good, 5/5 is great. Additional keys below the space is even better.
>>72985323665% keyboard and a separate numpad off to the side and out of the way
Pretty soon 75% will be the only thing they make and they'll sell arrow keys and numpads as separate DLCsI hate the antichrist
>>729853236100%. No compromises>b-b-but I don't nee-No. Compromises.
>americans even circumcise their keyboardsWhat the hell is wrong with you
>>729853236Imagine showing this image to someone in the late 90s, what he would think about our society?
>>729853236only use 100% but the 80% one looks usable.
>>729853236I use two different 75%s (personal+work) but some keys are slightly different to each other and it's kind of annoying. Maybe I would prefer two 80%s since they are a lot more consistent.
>>729853692You need at most a 80% keyboard because everyone plays better with the keyboard at 45 degrees, and a 100% keyboard is too big to play with at 45 degrees
>>72985323675 is lowest I'm willing to go
>>729853236the ones with extra programmable keys
>>729853859>You need at most a 80%I need at MINIMUM a 100% keyboard.
>>729853692I actually like the 75% arrow layout more than 100%. You get a nice cluster of keys, it lets me play RPGs one handed. If I need a numpad I can plug one in, I use mine maybe twice a year.
>>729853742He would say>You people still use PNGs? 30 years later?
>>729853236I need the numpad to play roguelikes so probably 96% minimum.
I need the full layout plus media keys. volume up and down is essential
>>72985323665% is all I need
>>729853978>volume up and down is essentialAs someone who has had volume up/down mapped to my mouse scroll for the past 15 years, and before that had a keyboard with a wheel in the wrist rest, modern volume solutions are fucking atrocious. Ah yes, let me just reach over and use a knob where print screen should be, or use a fucking layer and tap keys like a mongoloid for 5% increments. I'd never go back to having volume control on the keyboard.
>>729854245>use a fucking layer and tap keys like a mongoloid for 5% incrementsBut it just works if you hold the keys downLike I use Fn+Up/Dn for volume up/down and it rapidly goes in 2% increments if I hold the keys down
>>729854331But I can just scroll up or down instantly to the correct value. You understand that a dial is vastly superior over 2 buttons, right?
If you're not 100%, you're faglord.
Sub 100 = Tranny.
>>72985323660% width but with full F-key rowRight shift key is fucked on this one but unfortunately there isnt a lot of competition at this width
it's extremely frustrating that there's only one keyboard I can find with a ibm 101 key layout and trying to see if others exist just gets me "keyboard 101" articles or some 98% tranny shit. it's even more frustrating that no one else seems to understand why I want one or thinks that it's stupid. no you're stupid.
>>729853236100% with macro buttons and an audio scroller.
You're not white of you can't use a numpad.
>>729853236My ideal is the full 100% 104-key keyboardI am currently using an 80% compact keyboard and I hate it. I miss having a number block. I hate having to use alt function keybinds to use the same keys full keyboards just have direct access to. The only thing I like about this compact format is that it's easy for your right hand to reach the arrow keys, that's the one upside if you have enough desk space to accommodate a larger keyboard anyway
i need 100 woth numpad AND another row of programmable buttons either on top or the left sideholy shit, newfag captcha learned how to triforce
>>729853236all of themand no function keys
>>729855058based
>>729853236100% full size, why would I want less keys on my keyboard?
>>72985323660% keyboards are actually closer to 59% (61/104≈0.587), meaning 41% of the keys are missing. If you use one, you are mathematically proven to be a tranny, as if cutting off functioning parts of a keyboard for "aesthetic" reasons wasn't enough proof.
I hate when mechanical keyboard trannies try to tell me I don't need a numpad
>>729853236120%
>>729855195bullshit there is no triforce captcha
>>729853236>What's your favorite layout?TKL. It's the perfect middle ground for me to have enough mouse space for shooters while keeping Fkeys and the navigation cluster available for productivity.
>>72985323696 or 80. Also keyboards are not for gaming, controllers are.
Why are prebuilts with LED lights cheaper
>>729856890volume
>>729856286This.
>>729853236ive used a 60% for years. a 65% wouldnt be to bad either. the extra space on my desk allows me to hold the mouse in a more comfortable position. I dont need to have my arm stretched out so there is enough room to turn left without hitting the keyboard.
>>729853236Non row-staggered keyboards are the only thing that matters. Everything else is the same shit, not worth discussing.
we should be able to add daughter-boards and other customizable boards. Keyboards should have no upper bounds.
>>729853236100 keys is the lowest I could go. I sometimes miss having a dedicated END key, but it's alright.
let me guess, you need more
>>729858226That doesn't sound alright at all thoughever.
>>729853236Anything less than 100% is e-waste.
>>729858194this but just so i can have a bunch of analog inputs (like knobs and such) and physical multi-position switches without plugging in my HOTAS
>>729858273Yes I also want my keyboard to look like more than an old trinket on a cluttered shelf
>>729853236104. No more, no fewer.
>>729853236I was using ten keyless for a while but I actually missed having the numpad for certain games so I just got a full keyboard again.
>>729853236100% because that is what i have used for over 20 years
>>729853692Same. I actually use the ten key when using excel or the calculator. Could I get by without it? Sure. But, why have less than what I want? I will not budge.
>>729853236I'm quite partial to the Tenkeyless boards, but I've grown to use the full 100% keyboards with time.
>>729858405here's my room btw
I cannot use a keyboard without a numpad.For me, it's the k120.
>>72985323680% is the lowest I'll go.
>>729858292I was in the market for a compact 100-key with an END key included at the time, and didn't find any. My biggest complaint with compact keyboards is their compromised touch-type usability. Retards gamers forgot why certain groups of keys have distinct spaces in them, especially the function keys. I literally have to add some tactile bump to the function keys so I can press them without looking down.tl;dr I fell for the compact meme and should have gone with full mechanical keyboards.
>>729853692Based and correct.
What use does the fn key have? I have a Logitech G213 that doesn't have an fn key, only two windows keys
>>729853236Anything without Function keys and a numpad is trannycore shit.
>>729853236Over 100% for me
>All this talk of desk space being an issue Clean up your ducking desks you slobs or get an actual desk instead of oversized bar stool
