For each segment each uma will roll a dice to determine their target speed, like +/- few %. High wit increases chance of higher roll. So all other stats being equal a 1000 wit uma will win vs like 400 wit uma by length or two. These random speed rolls is how we get umas shuffling around their positions without any skills activating. This is important for fronts because they want to maximize the gap between them and other styles.Fronts also have unique speed up mode where they compete for lead. If there's multiple fronts and they pass wit checks they will keep speeding up and try to take the lead OR speed up and try to main the lead if they're 1st. This is mostly what makes a huge difference in a lobby with solo front vs 2 or more fronts and why front is "all in" style where you generally want to run multiple of them in your team.And then there's spot struggle which is another wit check where fronts will gain increased speed/accel but consume more stamina for a few seconds.
