Why modern PC parts so unreliable?
>>
>>729860405
It's easy to explain. To satisfy retarded customers and the influencers feeding the retarded customers expectations all modern consumer electronics run right at the limit of what's possible. 20 years ago you could get some 15, 20 % more out of shit by overclocking or better cooling, but the hardware producers themselves are doing the overclocking straight from the production line, thus you have so much power drawn to an overloaded CPU that shit will naturally break.
>>
The 7800X3D had the same issue with Asus motherboards

is it possible to underclock/undervolt a 9800x3d or did the jews block you from doing it?

Never buy Asrock boards
>>
>>
>>729860990
I'm underclocking my laptop, but every few weeks it somehow loses the settings and i have to redo it again.
>>
>>729860990
You can undervolt it.
>>
>buy an ass rock
>its shit
woah...
>>
>>729860405
Assrock has been an unreliable mobo manufacturer for a very long time, I've known this for over a decade. I bought one because it was cheap and it was a mistake.
>>
>>729860405
More components = More critical points of failure. Chains are only as strong as the weakest link.
>>
>>729861115
That was a whole year ago, the recalls have probably been made already.
>>
>>729861081
but can't underclock? figures... at least the undervolt should make the CPU live longer.
>>
>>729860990
My bios had a bug where it only gave about 25% of the power that you set it to, efficiently under clocking my CPU until I tried to overclock it
>>
I dunno sounds to me like Asrock manufactured a bad run of mobos and they're frying shit. Naturally every trick in the book will be used to weasel out of taking culpability--just look at how Intel legally squirmed so hard despite internally KNOWING the hardware they were selling was broken shit.
>>
>>729861146
X3D chips can't usually be under/overclocked but this one can.
>>
>>729861229
Saucy, pls don't be retarded.

Majority of the issue happen on ASrock mobo's.
The rest might just be the usual failure rate on either the mobo or the cpu itself.
Asus in this chart seems higher, but they are one of the more popular MOBO vendor which explain higher than normal failure rate.
>>
My old PC that i built in 2014 had an Asrock motherboard. The board died in 2015 and i had to replace it which was a pain in the ass.
>>
Midrange chads win again.

>pair expensive top-end CPU with shitty Asrock/Asus motherboard
>what could go wrong?
We've had this problem before. At this point AMD should either stop selling chipsets to Asus/Asrock or dictate stricter mobo specifications.

>>
So, What's the best Intel CPU on the market rn?
>>
>tfw been using an MSI board for my new PC and have had 0 issues so far
Are Asus and AssRock really that prone to sharting themselves?
>>
7800x3d chads stay winning
>>
>>729861146
You can underclock it. For one, you can simply limit the maximum temperature target which would be the easiest way by far. If it's low enough and your cooler is inadequate it will underclock to a severe degree.
>>
>>729862012
Yeah. You should only consider buying MSI or Gigabyte mainboard. Asus and Asrock is just shit.
>>
It must be because of the Indian workforce. People think this is racism or something, but I live in a third world country and things being unreliable is the norm here. From services to products, nothing works properly, and the fault lies with the workforce being extremely dumb, lazy and unqualified. The guys here just don't do things right, and you have to spend a lot of energy trying to get them on the track. And as soon as you turn your back, they start doing everything wrong again because they can't understand why doing things a certain way is really important. They just think, "The boss isn't looking, now I can do things my way".
What the first world is starting to go through now is just the norm in poor countries. The first world is regressing at the same time that it is relying more and more on labor from third world countries.
>>
>articles about nvidia's competitors right when nvidia is about to become the most anti-consumer company in our technological history
I'm noticing
>>
>>729862336
Nvidia has been the most anti consumer tech company for over a decade. The fact that you think this shit is new is why they are the most powerful corporation on earth, you completely overlooked them fucking you and gave them license to destroy the entire PC industry.

the Core Ultra 9 285k, which is only better at productivity workloads, worse for gayming than AMD offerings
Intels panther lake CPU line is getting released this month though, wait for that

Yeah but the line go up! Up means good!

hardware failures are extremely rare. its always software user error.

Sure asscock is probably doing something stupid, but I really have to wonder if putting the extra cache under the cores has a lot to do with it/

Assrock has always been a shit brand.
And why do you need such a power hungry CPU anyway? Isn't this a gayman board?

I have a 9800x3d and an asrock motherboard since february and I never had shit happen, as far as I'm concerned it's just dumbasses being scared

It is probably unironically this. I applied a EXPO profile when I first built my computer and it jacked voltages to absurd levels. I had to manually do all my RAM timings and voltages.
