>Khazan>Wuchang>Wo Long>WukongWhat's the difference between all these? They all look like chinese-inspired soulslikes to me, is there a difference on how they play? Are any worth buying?
No, which is the problem. Chinese can only copy. Theres also this nefarious undertone of corrupting the west, getting them addicted. Really really disgusting.
>>729862992wuchang has the best level design of any soulslike
>>729862992Khazan is actually based on DFO, a fairly old and extremely popular KMMO. It has pretty bad level design but very good bosses, plus diablo gear like Nioh if that's something that shifts your opinion one way or another. Great soundtrack too.Wuchang is partially gooner oriented and is the second most chinese of the 4. Pretty good all around, probably the best map design of the 4, even if the last chapter got kinda ruined by the devs being cowards. Play this one if you want a solid if by the numbers soulslike with bonus lewd outfits.Wo Long is the weirdest of the list. It's kind of a Nioh offshoot, with similar loot, but it has an... Odd system where you level up and down in each stage, and some weird decisions to its combat system. Overall it's kinda experimental in a way I personally feel wasn't too successful. The map design is kinda meh and a few of the bosses are really kinda bullshit. My least favorite of the four.Wukong is the most fantastical of the four, with a strong Journey to the West theme. It's very pretty and has a lot of pretty nice setpieces, but is also quite linear. Even though you only really have one weapon, it does try to give a decent chunk of variety with a "transform into enemies" system, like Nioh 2 has if you played that. Arguably the strongest plot of the four after Wuchang got cucked, and the final boss is truly a treat.
>Khazan I'd say maybe the closest to being a standard Souls clone both in design and gameplay>WuchangGood level design by the genres standard, fairly easy >Wo Long Most mediocre of them all, it's literally a weak and barebones chink styled Sekiro>WukongHalfway between a Souls clone and a standard action game, art style and monke skills are coolI'd say that all but Wo-long are definitely worth playing (Wo-long is okay if you don't have anything else to play) but none is worth paying full price for
>Wuchang (无常, meaning "Impermanence") are iconic death deities in Chinese folklore. Their name comes from a core Buddhist teaching: everything changes, nothing is permanent. Wuchang are usually depicted as a duo—Black Wuchang and White Wuchang—who track down the dying, collect their souls, and escort them to the underworld (kinda like the Grim Reaper in the Western culture).>Wo Long (卧龙, meaning "Sleeping Dragon") - Zhuge Liang, who was known as "Wo Long" was a celebrated adviser to Liu Bei, and the founder of the Shu-Han dynasty.>Wukong(悟空, meaning "Apprehend the emptiness") - Monkey King, character with supernatural powers from the novel Journey to the West.Notice how the moonrunes are completely different each time.
>>729864358This guy explained it the best, at least as far as Khazan and Wuchang are concerned (haven't played the other 2).BTW, why is Wukong NEVER on sale?
I loved the part in WuChing where Wong Wei fought Tie Mi Shu
>>729862992>Wuchanga coomer game>Wo Longan actual game>Wukonga game made for streamers, youtube shorts and "final boss beat with no damage!!11!"
Wuchang for the most part is the most DaS1 inspired out of all of them in that level design and exploration is the focus of the game. Also it is very horror oriented, and not in a dark chinese fantasy way compared to Wo Long. Wukong on the other hand is basically Chinese god of war.
>>729862992Wo Long is Japanese and a real shit game. Wuchang is a decent soullike but the last third sucks ass and has the worst map ever in vidya history. Khazan and Wukong have denuvo so idk but heard Khazan is kino and Wukong is slop
>>729864403>bareboneslol fromdrones would lose there shit if they had a game that played as well as wo long. I assume you're one of the retards that sat behind the parry button.
Arissa and Khazan walk into a bar.
>>729862992Haven't played Wo Long so won't really consider anything about it.>KhazanNot chinese, in either dev team or setting. Kind of like Nioh more than Souls, fast paced combat and probably the most mechanically well designed boss roster amongst the three games, but also a lot of copy paste content and if you don't like lots of loot and inventory management you may not like it. Most linear as well and probably the least visually interesting IMO.>WuchangClosest to a standard Souls-like, with some differences in the combat and levelling system. Best level design of the three and some of the best in the genre. OK bosses but nothing really great.>WukongMost unique of the three I think, outside of some general Souls gameplay elements like bonfires/shrines, the healing flask and I guess the mainly designed for single enemy lock on it doesn't really play like anything else I can think of. Most amount of bosses in the three games and highest non-copy paste boss count in the genre. Amongst the more linear pathing in Souls-likes but still has open environments and half of the content is behind exploring so not nearly as linear as Khazan.
>>729862992retards will ask this shit and then proceed play the 178263786th exact same mario game
>>729863530Khazan is korean and Wo Long is japanese, retard
>>729862992>Whats the difference between all these?Khazan is the good one. The rest of them are mediocre and only worth if you really love the (sub)genre.
>>729871023Japanese are but Chinese copies, check-mate
>>729870894That's right, faggot. I also play on emulator for fan made kino. Infinite content.
