>>729876437I think the parts that are strong in the 3D games are also present, like the feeling when you just keep going deeper into high level territory with a starter party and pick up obscenely strong powers along the way. Considering its age the interface is very intuitive, you even have ingame spell descriptions and barely need a manual. A handful aspects like races/starting stats are more impactful when you're totally new and don't know all the meta strats. Some things are of course simpler, for example Sparks is just a simple group dmg spell instead of a cool shotgun ability, jumping warps you in front instead of changing elevation. Lloyd's only out of combat.I think the big reason people prefer 345 is the art, and understandably because the enemy designs are sick
