So what the fuck is going to happen when they travel to the East Coast? Anyway, the plan was to replace every human on the surface with a synth, so no one will have to suffer from hunger or radiation any longer.
But as always, you have to remember that the people at the Institute see all Sinths as servants and nothing more.

If bethesda writing was dog shit, they couldve make the institute not comically retarded evil. like just write them that the older android synths kept instantly getting shot so they needed the human synths, but since they made them from genes contaminated with radiation (Institute descendants) they inevitably go rogue and sometimes go psycho. that way it explains the courser shit and why the fo3 institute was so deadset on bringing back the escaped one and any future escaped synths and why they kidnapped shaun in the first place. And make their end goal to conquer areas like the glowing sea, hence why they needed synths in the first place.
For the super mutants, if you have to include them, just make a rogue institute scientist that got ass mad that the fev shit was a dead end so his project got cut so he starts teleporting mutants everywhere

For real, all i remember is
