Man, this game is fun. I love rhythm games so much. Let's talk about rhythm games.

should have used a titty clown as the OP, that would have gotten some yous
>>

I like the clown.

>best rhythm heaven game to date is not even a rhythm heaven game
ok just kidding I still prefer rhythm heaven DS but bits and bops was seriously an amazing game, just a bit short and some minigames lacked visual spectacle. I don't know how they did it but even on windows I never felt any input or audio latency while playing it compared to other games where I had to be finicky with setting delays

It made me more excited for rhythm heaven groove. I hope time moves faster

Rhythm game general in /jp/ keeps dying even though a new Voltex came out recently and a new Pop'n within the last week. US arcades should actually be getting the new Pop'n cabs. I see some traffic with Maimai in the US, but not a lot.

>>729900007
Not even that is a guarantee. It's very hit or miss, depending on who's around when the thread is alive so that people can come in to call everyone who plays them autistic troons.
>>
>>729900724
It's over... only /fnfg/ can survive...

I wish beatmania's recent soundtracks wasn't 50% vocaloid + vtueber stuff nowadays. I get they're there by popular demand but it feels too overwhelming at this point.

I remember that thread with all the shota porn they drew of him
>>
>>729900676
Idk why, but a gut feeling is telling me RHG won’t be all that great, just “fine” at best. Last one was a decade ago and Megamix was pretty bad. Plus the art style is very weak in comparison to the older titlee
>>
i like taiko (even though i'm a shitter)
>>

Muse Dash is good
Rin a cute
Taiko a fun

You guys play Rhythm Doctor? I liked it, did some fun visual stuff I hadn't seen before.

hit drum when the note is red
hit rim when note is blue
hope this helps :)

2 button rhythm games are way too hard for me. Taiko and Muse Dash filter my smooth brain but I can handle 5 or more buttons just fine

Same question, here I am beating Lv11 songs with the Silencer elfin but I keep having to play them on Hard first.
>>
>>729899303
objectively best control layout? i was using up/down arrows for waaay too long that i can 99% most difficulty 8 songs but it's just not doable for much above that
heard SK as up and DJ as down is good but taking a while to get used to
>>
>collab with dohna dohna

extremely cringe

>ban hololive from streaming it
why don't more games do this?
>>
>>729907602
I use ZXC for upper notes and numpad 123 for lower notes
>>
>>729907713
they aren't mind cucked by the ccp
>>
>>729906638
I would say no since half the appeal of konasute is sharing score data with the arcade version. Just play data.
>>
>>729907602
I use WO for top notes and FJ for bottom ones, so pretty much my middle fingers on top and index fingers on bottom. I also used to play with controller with a similar layout, bottom face buttons for bottom notes and shoulder buttons for the top ones.

>>729907629
It was the publisher who got anal, PeroPero wanted to continue collaborating with Hololive especially after Gura brought a lot of new players to the game.
>>
>>729907815
they don't have to be to keep that slop away
>>
>>729907629
You should be blaming the retarded Chinese faggots for this, not the developers.
>>
>>729906398
This but the exact opposite. I misclick constantly on 4key but I feel like I've picked up taiko surprisingly quickly. Different strokes I suppose
>>
Any DanKagu enjoyers here? I have the game on Switch and played it with touchscreen, but I recently double dipped on PC and also got the Season Passes there and I quickly got used to the keyboard layout, but I'm still working on my muscle memory. This game really needs an Extra difficulty between Hard and Lunatic like in the gacha game, the difficulty jump between those two can be really harsh.

Any OG gacha DanKagu players?

Taiko is quite unique compared to other rhythm games in that it never requires multiple inputs at the same time (double-striking big notes only give extra score). I struggle a lot more with games with chords.
>>
I downloaded proseka and bandori recently and I've been having fun playing on my phone but I have to say I really hate swiping motions for notes because of how unreliable it feels
>>
>>729909182
The dev made a crowdfunding campaign after the gacha was EoS'd and it reached its goal in a matter of hours, and it gathered so much money that it reached the Switch version release. It's also a Famitsu thread meme because the physical Switch version got Top 1 during its release week, which was the same week AstroBot got released.

The gacha getting EoS'd is also the reason why I fucking despise DeNA.
>>
>Want to try Project Diva
>The way the notes fly all over the screen at random pisses me off

Is there a setting or mod that just gives the game a normal fucking note chart?
>>
>>729909446

It's because music copyright is a bitch, Konami and Sega don't want to release their tracks overseas and won't allow beatmania games to be easily accessible, they missed out on the vtuber boom a few years ago.

The only way you can play them right now is to get access to the beatmania torrent site and then get the hard drive of the game, it's too much work. They should just port everything to Steam or make their own PC client and bring everything, modern zoomers are gacha addicted, they'll spend money on it. They could even sell the cards.

>>729906398
>>729908228
Is the Taiko game on Steam worth getting? I know it has a subscription for songs but how is the port?
>>
>>729909764
I wish Bemani would release on Steam so I don't have to listen to Korean songs on DJMax and such
>>
>>729909371
You unironically need an expensive phone to play properly. Touch screens on low and midrange phones are actual garbage.
>>
>>729899303
I quite enjoy the aesthetics of Muse Dash and some of the songs are really good but I just can't spend a long time doing 2 track rhythm games. It feels weird, probably because I grew up with mostly 4-5 track but 2 just feels like too few and it forces them to make gimmicks that I don't find enjoyable like invisible notes.
>>
>>729909446
Yeah, I tried to give the game a chance but even when changing the notes to arrows, the way the notes enter the screen is really annoying and confusing. It doesn't help that the game's soundtrack is super outdated so l can only get into like 15% of the songs in the game.

Proseka is not any better because that game is designed with iPad in mind and the higher difficulties are unbelievably retarded. I'll just stick to Muse Dash collabs thank you very much.
>>
I'm rather surprised how much they've actually done to Muse Dash over the years. I remember how barebones it was on release. Glad I got the Just as Planned dlc back then.
