This system just breaks up squads into smaller units, and the issue is that a small squad with no specialists or smartgunners is easy pickings. To balance this you'd need to either buff marine weaponry (which will never happen because xeno players will screech and moan) or nerf xenos (which again will never happen because xeno players will screech and moan). There was no reason to make this change, we already had fireteams for other tactics. CM is still in the retarded "If it's not broke, break it" phase.
