Honestly this game has so much baffling decisions but the worst thing is how underpowered all the costumes are.If they actually did impactful things I could have had fun even with the baffling control scheme, the nonsensical environments and story and the annoying QTEs. But they simply do nothing. The idea that kid gamers are too fucking stupid to use more than one action button so to keep it simple the dev was only allow a single button to build the game around was the nail in the coffin. I argue the game could had it small niche of fans if it wasn't trying to be a tutorial intro from start to finish. The Chao garden-lite bits could also been cool as hell but never went anywhere. The game concept had potential for sure but the game design somehow did something worst than being awful, it was nonexistent. I seen joke games with more gameplay. Hell even freaking idle games often give you more than one hotkey to press. You can really tell the lead designer honestly thought he could just redo Sonic one button no words gameplay and not understanding it only work with Sonic because there was no choice. Limitations breed creativity for sure but not if you are self-enforcing stupid rules just to handicap yourself when you could clearly just do it right from the start.
