>>729928765Keep in mind that the grind in this game makes PSO look tame The achievements are a good exampleThere’s one for killing like 50,000 enemiesYou would think this is normal, because screenshots make the game look like a musou with tons of enemies per mapWrongEach mission has maybe 20 enemies So to get that achievement, you need to load in and out of missions an ungodly amount of times And if you’re thinking “oh that’s just an achievement I’m not autistic enough to get those mindless grinding points,” keep in mind that the game fully expects you to play that many missions normally because of how scaling works in this game The version that just released in English, Megaton Musashi Wired, is a fusion of the original Megaton Musashi and its sequel/expansion Once you finish “part 1” of the story, the level jump to part 2 is extreme because they were initially spaced out and Level5 expected part 1 owners to grind for part 1’s endgame before releasing part 2What you get here is a very disorienting difficulty spike, and that continues at later points in the game as wellTl;dr this is a good game for mindless grinding, but it’s not a musou and grinding means loading in and out of missions a bunch of times If you want a more PSO style game, I’d recommend Granblue Relink. This is more like Diablo with light musou elements
Crazy how all the best parts were from when it was a free to play game. The original and Wired's stories were bland, but X was great.
