Most games which are designed to be played "forever" have pseudo infinite scaling because that's the easiest way to ensure players always have something to work toward. It was rushed and poorly done, so obviously the next region they had to drag shit out as long as they possibly could, making everything slow and dramatic and never pivot from their original plan, but that also was met with people saying how boring it was, so Fontaine was designed to be as entertaining and fanservicey as possible. Each region is written as a response to the negative feedback of the last region, AKA Genshin Impact is written like the star wars sequel trilogy

Which Gacha game has good feet content?

It did dip a few months in once you've exhausted all the content since it turned into a chore loop along with 3 back to back to homo banners. Mondstadt was alright but Liyue's story was generic chinawank. Then the Dragonspine patch dropped, which was absolute kino. Another several months of chore loops until Inazuma and Enkanomiya, which were mostly fun, although you would probably think the Inazuma story was shit if you don't like typical anime tropes. That long sidequest line of Inazuma was better than the main story. Chasm exploration was really fun but then Sumeru came along (around the point where the writers and staff got shuffled) and everything took a nose dive. The story was completely lost, map design lost inspiration, the desert was a slog, events got repetitive at that point, every few months you would get your mandatory chinawank event/story portion, new characters were not appealing, and I lost interest then. Although Sumeru's map that lead into the giant robot's control room was pretty cool, haven't logged in since the desert.

GAME OF THE DECADE
Genshin is a good free game to play casually if you like a massive open world, a safe predictable anime trope story and colorful anime graphics. The combat is deeper than it looks, but most of that is locked away behind limited units. Explore the world, do the story and events as they come out and get some waifus that you like and you'll have a good time. The challenging endgame content is the trap, it's designed to be frustrating unless you have the latest characters, and the next batch will obsolete the ones you currently own. It's a miserable experience unless you're willing to spend money so you can both get your waifus and the newest characters. It didn't used to be this way from the launch of the game, so the old takes that you can clear anything with any units are literal lies now.
