Speaking of older canon/lore.Back when there was only one game, I always believed Foxy wasn't built as a pirate. What I mean by that is he was just a regular member of the crew, but began to degrade over time, like, his lower suit pieces withered and they didn't have replacements, so they gave him Freddy legs, and were like "yeah it's brown pants". His hand broke, so they replaced it with a hook, etc. He was just a victim of a struggling restaurant doing what they could with no budget.
