Twilight Princess design is better, less vibrant colors add a more vintage appeal, while still looking regal. I do not like the cartoony designs of the Wind Waker era, but Minish Cap is a decent middle ground. OoA/OoS doesn't get enough love, it's legitimately a great design, a fusion of new and classic. Skyward Sword is probably the last great Zelda design; BotW continues to be an abomination in just about every regard, and its character designs are no exception, though I do think some of them are well done.Let me just say, the Cadence of Hyrule design is probably the worst out of all.

In terms of personality, even though I have problems with the game, I like Skyward Sword's Zelda. She's so upbeat and cheerful. It matches her more stoic and dour personality well. Feels more like a young Queen then a Princess.>Personality/Story Wise Probably Ocarina of Time. I like the presentation of when you first meet her and her desire to save her kingdom. The Evolution into Sheik is also cool. Twilight Princess Zelda kinda feels like Ganondorf in that game. Tacked on so it's more recognizable as a Zelda game. But really you could write them out to focus on Midna vs Zant and it'd still be really good.

After the Imprisoning War is over, she just chooses to restore the Master Sword by becoming a dragon, shoving it in her head, and fucking off for 12000 years while HOPING that Link realizes she's the weird flying snake thing and that the broken Master Sword that she took at the start of the game is on top of her. This is a stupid choice both narratively and for Zelda's character. BotW and especially AoC were about how she takes initiative as an individual and researcher first, while still valuing her role as princess. The fact that TotK barely even touches on WHY she does what she does or HOW she came to that decision is antithetical to how she was presented in BotW and AoC, and the fact that AoI only even acknowledges it at the end of the game in like five frames of a cutscene is indicative of how that team thought it was also a fucking stupid decision. Maybe have her and Mineru find a way to reforge the Master Sword and embed a sacred stone in its hilt or something. Maybe have her train with her weird time powers more and by the time she actually manages to return to the present she's significantly older or something. I just think the actual decision she makes is the stupidest possible thing that she could have done. I was hoping AoI would expand on this but she takes a backseat to Rauru and the other sages in HER OWN FUCKING GAME, so the player barely even gets to see things from her perspective. She just decides to go along with things while sometimes saying "oh gee King Rauri that's an excellent idea." Granted I generally think the whole "eating a rock makes you a dragon" thing is fucking stupid and only give Ganondorf doing it a pass because the dragon form is a cool final boss that's different from a big pig monster. I think the Zonai half of the new games is written terribly when compared to the Calamity stuff (which isn't a very high bar), so my view on TotK Zelda is just kind of a casualty of that.
Train Zelda is the best, no contest. She is the most Princessly Zelda, but also one of the biggest heavy lifter. She also got a character arc.
