The only mods you should install on a first run is bug fixes and MAYBE cut content stuff it it's a game like KOTOR 2 or VTMB where the games had a horrid production cycle and gutted a lot of stuff (even then it's iffy) You should go in as vanilla as possible and in some cases check to see if the PC port is up to snuff (NO FUCKING DEMASTERS) and if the console release is better/something you should emulate.Something like GTA San Andreas where the PC release is missing fuck loads of console features should be either played on PS2 hardware or have you using the mods that try to replicate that as much as possible
