Why has gaming been so stagnant for the past 10-15 years?>Same GTA>Same Fortnite>Same Minecraft plus or minus mods>Same Persona>They still release games for the PS4>Only good Final Fantasy during that time is MMO nonsense>COD hasn't put out a good entry in years>Generic ball games that don't even pretend to try and do anything different every year>Random passion projects created by people that still care that should show companies what gamers actually want, but of course they go back to pumping out shitty ball and gun gamesIt's like ever since our generation hit high school, things have just been in this sludge of drudgery. Pic somewhat related, only decent thing about video games stagnant is that it has allowed me to go back and play "the classics" as you uncs like to call it.

Now we're like movies where we get one release that's like a small bunny hop to move the medium forward every 20 years instead of piles of them that each move everything forward by leaps and bounds. Most art movements stuck around way longer than the stagnation you're talking about, vidya will be no different.
