>DC Comics has tons of characters that would make for kino vidya>Only ever focuses on Batman
>>730070061Atleast we'll have Wonder W-oh wait
>>730070061Maybe we'll get more Batfamily games instead?
>>730070061because batman is the kinoest
>>730070417Undoubtedly
>>730070417Because dipshits like this fell for the I could totally be Batman meme. No, you couldn't, Batman is an even more unrealistic power fantasy than Superman, because at least Clark still has to get up in the morning and go to work so he can keep his apartment. Bruce got handed billions of dollars so he can afford to dress up as a furry at night and go punch other mentally ill people.
>>730070417Spider-man is also kino but atleast Marvel has a decent amount of vidya focused on their characters outside of Spider-man. It really says alot that Marvel's lego game franchise is called "Lego Marvel Super Heroes" but DC's is called "Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes" since they really needed Batman' s name front and center for it to even sell
>Marvel: mystical entities that question how humans perceive reality>DC: a... strong guy... that saves peopleDC should die, they were outdone even by shit like BnHA
>>730070624Yeah, Marvel at least tries to show off more of their roster, as opposed to DC who always falls back on Batman and those in his immediate vicinityMarvel has a plethora of different groups to pick fromDC just does Batman or the Justice League and that's it
>>730070648>they were outdone even by shit like BnHALet's not say shit we can't take back, especially since that dogshit was outdone by its own spinoff.
>>730070983Even Batman's rogue gallery gets priority over the rest of the Justice League
>>730070551No one could actually be Batman. By any IRL standard he's superhuman and he has all kinds of bullshit sci-fi tech. The only mainstream comics character that has realism is The Punisher, and he still wouldn't last long.
I wish they would at least do a Batman Beyond game
>>730070983>Yeah, Marvel at least tries to show off more of their rosterThe MCU has done a lot of heavy lifting here. 15 years ago they were in the same boat as DC where the only thing that could sell *anything* was Spider-Man and X-Men.Right now though DC is in an okay spot with Absolute and the compacts which outsell a lot of Marvel’s catalogue even if Marvel still dominates market share overall
>>730071584You're absolutely right in saying that the MCU is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but that's just the thing, if it were DC, they would've kept trying to pump out more Spider-Man and X-Men movies to this day without trying anything else except once in a blue moonAll they need is someone with passion at the helm and faith at the wheel>Right now though DC is in an okay spot with Absolute and the compacts which outsell a lot of Marvel’s catalogue even if Marvel still dominates market share overallHoh yeah, the Absolute run and the compacts are doing gangbusters comparatively to whatever Marvel's trying to do on the comic front. It doesn't help that Marvel's editorial department is just so incredibly bad and shortsighted that they don't let runs get many issues, or they simply meddle too much in the story and sour the whole thing
>>730071887>but that's just the thing, if it were DC, they would've kept trying to pump out more Spider-Man and X-Men movies to this day without trying anything else except once in a blue moonI think that can be chalked up to how different DC and Marvel's situations were. DC clung to their IP while Marvel sold X-Men and Spiderman off to the highest bidder in the mid-90s (20th Century Fox and Sony, respectively) for movie rights. I don't know if I can say they would have been any different from DC if they still had access to their two biggest IPs for movies. >It doesn't help that Marvel's editorial department is just so incredibly bad and shortsighted that they don't let runs get many issues, or they simply meddle too much in the story and sour the whole thingMy greatest fear is that neither Marvel nor DC actually understand why DC's current strategy is working and that will cause them both to do retarded shit like they always do.
The fact that we haven't gotten:1. A Wonder Woman game inspired by God of War. 2. A Mass Effect inspired Green Lantern game. 3. That cancelled Flash game. Is a travesty.
What if XCOM but it's with LoSH characters? It'll finally give them the mainstream exposure they've rightfully deserved and porn.
>>730072940Even though I'm much more of a Marvel fan than DC, I sincerely hope someone in either company learns a damn lesson from the current success DC's seeing with their comicsFar too often I've seen what should be snowballing successes just becomes a flash in the pan because nobody in a position of power learned a damn thing
>>730071887>>730073553Marvel *tried* to copy the compact format but they>made them more expensive>had worse covers>picked the strangest storylines
>>730073651Marvel really needs to get their head out of their assI doubt it'll happenBut they really need to
>>730073651>picked the strangest storylinesthe only classic storyline they have is Daredevil Born Againeverything else is post 2005 I don't fucking get it
>>730073326You think a Stargirl game with high school simulator mechanics could work?
>>730074232They still make up like 2/3rds of top 50 sales every month even if the top 10 is dominated by DC right now. They wont change shit.
>>730075618Ah well...A man can dream...
