In the original SH2 you could hit multiple enemies at once with proper positioning. This is not the case with the remake thanks to it taking the worst aspects of Batman/Spiderman combat - magnetization and delineated hitboxes. Now you are only allowed to hit one enemy at a time, and positioning matters much less because James just magnetizes towards enemies when attacking (and the same goes for enemies when attacking). I didn't think it was possible to make SH2'S combat worse, yet here we are.
what do you mean by delineated hit boxes?
>>730071963It's more realistic (good for horror games, james isn't a professional fighter), it feels less dated and clunky, and makes fighting more interesting than spamming r1 and X. not to mention the numerous QOL additions added to modernize encounterssevere case of nostalgia poisoning, I fear
>>730071963>positioning matters much less because James just magnetizes towards enemiesWhich, in the encounters with more than one, leads you to being hit while trying to hit the other gimp. Which in turn means positioning is even more important since you have to actively avoid getting ganked while locked into hitting animation. I guess this sounded profound and hard hitting in your head tho.
>>730071963Only legit arguments I've heard about it being worse than the original is the fog and other effects, but mods easily fix that. I'm glad I finally got to play this game. I always wanted to play it as a kid but it was too expensive and desu I'm not a fan of survival horror games.
>>730072067Hit boxes are strictly within the outline of the enemy's models
>>730072786>dude its better because its iloggigal and poorly coded bro u r just not profoundi think you might be factually retarded
>>730073164You did not play SH2. You played bastardized castrated rip off from some Polish gypsies. How do you know which are legit complains if you never played the original you stupid mongoloid
>>730073558What the fuck are you babbling? Why would it be any other way? James should be invincible in the attack animation and can't be interrupted? That's the point of it magneting you to the enemy. That's you committing to the attack and if you misjudged you'll get damaged. Forget that this has nothing to do with positioning non-argument OP wrote there. Take your dick out of the microwave, autist.
