After they started releasing those fake gameplay demonstrations with actors pretending to play the game in coop the game was confirmed dead on arrival.

It was still alive? I do feel a bit bad about it or well pity. They had an decent concept with an aesthetic that kinda worked with it but man was it a dumpster fire in execution. The flying wasn't too intuitive at the start but after a while it made sense so I don't hate it that much. Then you had character design where everyone outside the suits was some sort of ugly or done dirty by the art direction, a game world that felt both barren and big considering the intended group size with a tedious grind quest attached to the main plot, and quite frankly everyone was kinda unlikable. Thats not to mention the various bugs and instability on the SINGULAR raid they released, plus the goddamn scaling that made the basic bitch lvl 1 gun the strongest weapon in the game..

You know I shit on it but I still can say I had fun. I liked customizing my suits, I liked the pre-launch suit montage, I liked storm's feeling of being a mage in a sci-fi world. My standards are low for sure, but it hit an itch and I'm sad the whole thing was stillborn. I don't want to play the anthem they gave us but I want what it could have been

i could have sworn I remembered it being shut down like 2 or 3 years ago but I guess I was thinking of some other game

it's still running? i could've sworn. man, rip bioware and rip the golden age. what a bunch of crap that was, i played it during some kind of free weekend (?) and all i remember is how small, generic and inconsequential everything felt.

Yep, I think it's about time to start posting about how much I miss Anthem and how jews shut it down so I couldn't enjoy myself.

i know it is the antithesis of what the retards at the helm want but i wish online games got some re-tooling/re-balance and got shipped for like 20 bucks as singleplayer once their ever green multiplayer cashcow dies. I want to give them a try but i fucking hate the online hamster wheel

For the first The Crew, random dudes from the internet got together, got excited, and made an offline version.
It's a shame that this piece of shit doesn't have fans like that.

good to know the Anthem fanbase can move over to High Guard right away
