Install game, kinda enjoy it when doing literally anything that is not story related. Decide to finally wade through the story. Lose my my patience with the horrible writing. ZZZ writing is far more tolerable and I still find myself skipping at least half of it. I still haven't made it all the way through Fontaine I quit and uninstall the game out of frustration every time. Add a fucking skip button for christ sake.

I've been playing since launch and recently have been feeling like uninstalling. I like that the new region is finally starting to focus on the main story instead of filler, but I just can't be bothered to keep up with the routine anymore. It feels like most improvements they want to make to the game just go into new hoyo games instead so its not like the game is even getting better.

There's nothing retroactive about it, all the stuff I listed was pre-Sumeru. And they haven't used it at all since Sumeru either

This is also why artifact sets have lore stories attached to them. The in-game energy system being named after a plant product instead of something more generic like "energy" "fuel" or "power" is a cool nod to the relevance of Irminsul to all of the gameplay systems
