I dunno, depends on the pull economy and a few other factors. At least it's not Genshin.
What you SHOULD be bitching about is that weapon pulls are locked behind character pulls/real money only.
If you get lucky on the first character's banner, you either have to waste pulls on her banner to get currency for her weapon banner or wait for a rerun.
The other not-so-great design decision is that spending (IIRC) 60 pulls on a banner gets you an x10 ticket.. exclusively for the next banner.
Upside is you get 20 free pulls every 120 (guaranteed character). Downside is you won't be able to keep that running total going without spending.
It's a very awkward system that seems to promote FOMO in ways similar to Genshit, but more convoluted.

I don't know what general gameplay gimmicks that has, but if they did some gimmicks with the AI team members in boss fights, that would be interesting.

I think FFXIV and Granblue do this best, where you can see your NPC teammates actually react to certain attacks and take cover as you would.
