Poison often drives me nuts in games. They'll make it a long dot but then make all bosses immune to it, aka the only fights that last long enough for a dot to be worth using.

Poison is immensely overpowered in etrian odyssey games, as example in EOU1 it is possible to one shot first stratum boss with viper alone, poison ticks for about 800 damage and boss has about 3500 hp, poison has maximum duration of 5 turns. It's pretty unlikely it will last whole 5 turns but each tick can chop off about 20% of boss hp.

I never understood why devs do this. In Dragon Quest, Snooze (and every status effect spell) is never worth using on the average enemy that dies in one hit to a basic attack. And Snooze doesn't work at all on bosses. Snooze is useless for the player and there's no reason to provide something so useless to the player. It doesn't feel rewarding when I see "Level Up! New Spell Unlocked: Snooze!" It just feels insulting.

Skeletons in Grim Dawn have >100% bleed resist, but it used to be around 500% so even resistance reduction wouldn't lower it enough for bleed damage to hurt them I found out when levelling a bleed based character. There are multiple skeleton filled areas that you have to traverse to play through the game
